I could not help but notice your reflection was not posted until months after your passing. I can only assume there was some type of battle for you to get the recognition you so deserve. I would like to thank you as well as those who fought to have your name placed on the Memorial. You died not because of who you are but because of what you do. You deserve to be here with all the others who gave their lives. Rest easy. See you on the other side.

I salute you for your heroism and bravery. Not many people in this world run toward gunfire, most run away. You are a true hero and heroes never die. Keep watch over your loved ones. I know they think of you every day and the silent tears still flow from their broken hearts and will for many years. Visit them in their dreams to let them know you are close and watching over them. You will never be forgotten.

The animals which did this robbery and then murdered you
took a special part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department away. Your picture indicates that you are a warm caring person. My heart goes out to your family, Deputy Rosa.

Despite being juveniles, may your killers spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

God Bless you and may you Rest in Peace, Sister.

To all who knew DS Rosa. How sad it is to read again of another Officer killed....by young kids????????? What is wrong with society today? What happened to the precious value of life? A wonderful person taken from us for no reason. Not that I can see anyway. God has taken from us because he must have a special plan for DO Rosa.
"A POLICEMAN'S PRAYER"
BROTHER WHEN YOU WEEP FOR ME REMEMBER THAT IT WAS MEANT TO BE.
LAY ME DOWN AND WHEN YOU LEAVE REMEMBER I'LL BE AT YOUR SIDE...IN EVERY DARK AND DREARY ALLEY I'LL BE THERE AS YOU SLOWLY TREAD, ON EVERY STREET CORNER IN THE DRIVING SNOW I'LL HOLD YOUR COAT AND YOU WILL KNOW.
IN PLACES WHERE THE DEVIL IS AFRAID TO WALK...
AT DOORS WHERE YOU MEET RESISTANCE...
IN HOUSES WHERE CHILDREN HIDE,,,
YOU KNOW I'LL BE AT YOUR SIDE.
THE PLACE FROM WHICH I NOW RESPOND IS OVERSTAFFED WITH HEROES GONE...MEN WHO ANSWERED ONE LAST JOB AND DID IT WELL.
AS POLICEMEN WE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A CARD DEALT IN OUR HAND...A CARD WE HOPE WE NEVER PLAY BUT WE HOLD IT THERE ANYWAY.
THE CARD IS SOMETHING WE IGNORE AS WE STAND ON THAT THIN BLUE LINE EVERY TOUR...FOR WE KNOW THAT WE ARE THE ONLY PRAYER FOR MANY OUT THERE.
SO REMEMBER, AS YOU WIPE YOUR TEARS, THE JOY I HAVE KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE YEARS...AS THE JOB I LOVED TO DO I PRAY THAT THIS THOUGHT WILL SEE YOU THROUGH.

D.O. Rosa will be in our prayers as with her family, and all who knew her, and know she was a HERO.

Purer in heart, O God, help me to be;
May I devote my life wholly to Thee:
Watch Thou my wayward feet,
Guide me with counsel sweet;
Purer in heart, help me to be.

Purer in heart, O God, help me to be;
Teach me to do Thy will most lovingly;
Be Thou my Friend and Guide,
Let me with Thee abide;
Purer in heart, help me to be.

Purer in heart, O God, help me to be;
Until Thy holy face one day I see:
Keep me from secret sin,
Reign Thou my soul within;
Purer in heart, help me to be.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Deputy Rosa, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest
