Rahamy,

I enjoyed working with you so much. I sit here at the computer and can't help but cry. Remembering deep nights...coke and chips at Kwik Chek, griping about answering calls in Ladonia all night long and the 25 mile drive to get there. Going to the range on Saturdays and shooting a whole days pay worth of ammo.

I still have that copy of my in car tape when we were on they way to back up Hale in the pursuit. I watched it...and cried and then laughed, and then cried some more. Your size and "at work" attitude made me feel safe when in harms way, and you always made sure everyone on shift made it home in the morning.

You were the best DWI officer I have ever known and taught me a thing or two about finding the drunks. I hope I taught you the same when you asked me about drug interdiction. I miss our breakfast in the jail kitchen and you calling me everytime you bought a new gun, the wooden console you made for your old crusier, and coloring the buttons on the console in your new cruiser with a marker because they were too bright. And by the way, who needs a MDC in their unit with a MP3 player like yours. Oh yeah, I hated the music you made me listen to when we were a two man unit, but you were bigger than me so I took it like a man!

I know you would have hated me carrying on like this, but like your music that I listened to, you listen to this...this past summer when you came to my house and helped me when I needed someone, made me realize just how good of a person you are. If I only could have taken your place...

Rest in peace brother, I love you.

Deputy Mitchell, it is so sad that just into the new year another hero is taken from. You gave your life in service to others in the line of duty. Thank you is insufficient to express all that needs to be said. But, I do thank you sir. To the Mitchell family, my prayers and deepest sympathies go out to you during this time. To the FCSO, thank all of you for all that you do. I am praying for your family as well, as you have just lost a family member. Continue the watch knowing that you work is not in vain! Romans 13:4

Your dad will be remembered forever as a hero. I am so sorry that you and your family have to go through this. I was in your shoes last year at this time, so I know somewhat what you are going through. We will never fully understand why things happen, but we have to trust that God knows what he is doing. I will always remember.
