Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Trooper Calvin Wayne Jenks

It has been almost 2 years since i have last seen you and i miss you so very much. The tears i still shed everyday is from remembering all the wonderful days that we experienced with you in our lives. I know that you are watching over us because i still see your quirky little smile and hear you walking about. Just wanted you to know that I love and miss you so very much. You will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. LOVE, MOM

Calvin: I put all my photos of you on our home computer's screen saver during that dark January of 2007. That is to say, my wife, daughter and I see you grinning and smiling at us often. One way I like to think of heaven is that it's a place where we can realize our daydreams forever. I picture you with your foot all the way down on a gas pedal, going 186,000 miles per second, speeding on a ray of light from a star across the heavens. One of your photos came up on our computer tonight so I thought I'd finally get around to posting a note here. Miss you!

Trooper Jenks..

I have read your relections, and thought about you. I do not know you. But, I have thought about you. I to am a Police Officer, however in a completely different state(PA). You "BROTHER" seem to have been something special, so many reflections, it's a great tribute. I am at a loss for words. All I can ask Trooper Jenks is keep us safe as we will always keep them safe. May your "murderer's" have to deal with your WRATH in the afterlife!! Rest in peace Trooper!

I was working that Saturday night in January 2007 when this nightmare took place. I was in a 911 Center and could hear the radio traffic from every agency in West Tennessee. Point to Point was on fire with traffic. Everybody who had anything to do with Law Enforcement was just hoping those two "BOYS" would cross their path. Everybody was on the hunt and determined to catch the persons who had took the life of this Trooper. I will never forget that night. As horrible and unbelieveable as it was for all of us, it is unimaginable to me how his family must have be feeling still today.
Calvin, I sure wish this had never happened. I wish that no other Trooper or Officer would ever loose their life again, but it will happen again. All we can do to cope is to learn something from this, and perhaps save some other Troopers life. RIP Trooper. You are still missed.

I learned of your tragedy on the Sheriff Buford Pusser website. You were honored at the annual festival in Adamsville this year. Thank you for your service. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my brother.

GUILTY!!! Justice was served, brother. Keep an eye on us down here. You will always be remembered as a great, hard working Trooper. I posted the article on policelink.com so everyone across the country would know that JUSTICE WAS SERVED. Rest in Peace Brother.

They found him GUILTY! I was just reading about it and thinking of how it doesn't fix anything for your family, but i just hope it can start to bring them some closure... I am sure all of us who were working that night feel just a little better knowing he isnt going to be on the streets again any time soon.
