The shooter a 18 year old scum of the earth Alejandro Gauna is in court with his scum attorney Blake Ballin trying to call for a dismissal. It will never be allowed to happen, these two punks will pay the price for taking one of our own. Ballin, open your eyes and do us all a favor and get these thugs to plea so they can get what they so righteously deserve. Calvin, you will never be forgotten! We will win and just a memo for any other drug running scum that would think of trying this in Tennessee or Mississippi, Calvin Jenks is our back up and he got his eyes on you!!!

I am saddened by Trooper Jenks murder by these two non-citizens of the United States who think they can come in to our country, commit murder, hit and runs, etc., and just serve time, or get away with the crime. Send them back to Mexico to serve prison time. What about Trooper Jenk's time he had so much left of his life to live and with his family. His commitment to his job. What a terrible loss. What about his time? Our hearts go out to Trooper Jenks' wife, parents and loved ones. Godspeed your strength to carry on. Maybe a memorial, a tree planted in his name, education grant in memory of Trooper Jenks, etc.

Calvin,
The baseball field at Culleoka has been named in honor of you. I know this makes you so happy as you loved playing baseball in Culleoka. You will NEVER be forgotten. You and your family are in our hearts and minds each and every day. I know you are so proud of your family. They are so strong and are fighting to change things so that another family does not have to go through what they have been through. I am sure that Sarah Beth is doing fine but it breaks my heart that your everlasting love was cut so short.

April 27, 2008

Many high school children to come will now be playing on the Trooper Calvin W. Jenks Memorial Baseball Field at your Alma Mater. What an honor!

Happy Valentines Day Calvin. I hope that you are looking over Sarah Beth today.

February 14, 2008

Trooper Jenks, Valentine's day is Thursday and Sarah Beth has been on my mind a lot as I prepare for my boys' parties at school and get ready to celebrate this precious day with my husband. I am again reminded that she was robbed of so many opportunities to have what I often take for granted. I wanted to let you know that I am praying God will give her the grace she needs to continue to live life without you and cherish the memories the two of you were able to make. I have three sons and my middle son was born on September 11, 2001. I have always known that God makes no mistakes and there was a reason he was born during one of America's most tragic moments. His dream is to follow in my husband's footsteps as an officer in law enforcement. I have told him what a hero you are and how you made the ultimate sacrifice on that dark night and even though he's never met you, he knows you are one of the best. Thank you, sir, for your service and for being a Godly example for so many who knew you. Rest in peace and know that you are gone, but not forgotten.

"The Badge"

He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.

He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.

Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.

He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.

His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.

He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.

And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.

But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.

Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.

Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.

So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.

In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.

Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

Hello Calvin.
Just wanted to drop in and tell you that your family has been on my mind heavily the last few days. Please continue to watch over them as I know you have.

January 16, 2008

Everytime I come to your page I cry a little harder. You were such an amazing person & did not deserve this!! I pray that your family can pull through one more time to honor you while being in court every day for the up-coming trial. I know you had to feel all the love during the sea of blue in your honor. You touched so many lives....it's just sad that you only know how much so in your death. I say a prayer for your family daily. Please watch over them Calvin. They are going to need you now, more than ever. This trial is going to be much harder, since he is the actual trigger man. Just know you will never be forgotten!!! RIP Calvin.
