Reflections for Trooper Calvin Wayne Jenks

Trooper Jenks my friend fellow Class mate of Thp class 404. We were roommates in the academy for the first few months and we sat beside each other in class my heart still breaks for this loss. My heart goes out to your family and all of those who have lost loved ones in the great law enforcement family. I think of you often Calvin. You were the youngest in our class at 21 yrs old. So proud of your service. Watch over the remaining Calvin as the fight for compliance in this crazy world continues.

Sadly watched the tv show A Time To Kill about you, Officer Calvin Jenks. Its heartbreaking to me, a mom, grandmother & great-grandmother, to hear of young people like you you, killed in cold blood for no reason except evil. I pray you are with our Lord Jesus & happy every day. I send heartfelt condolences to your wife & family.

I honor his death in January by wearing a yellow ribbon with his name on it. The state of Tennessee lost a son of law in forcement. I was amazed at the short period of time that lapsed from execution to capture. Awesome officers. It's amazing that camera are most everywhere. My only complaint there is they should be of better quality. My heart breaks till this day for his family. Having lost my only son in military I know the loss. They were both doing what they both believed in. So it helps me to remind myself of that fact. God bless.

Calvin,
I only knew you as a little boy; running and having fun with the other youngsters at the Hall for Thanksgiving gatherings with the Piper clan. You were a wonderful child and a true pride and joy of your parents life. Shy but full of life. The news was shocking and truly unbelievable, but today, I know your mama smiles when she thinks of you and the pride that continues to fill her heart. Thanks for your years of service. You are now with Grandma & Grandpa Piper. I bet it is the best homecoming you ever had. You have some cousins, Aunts and Uncles up there with you too. Thanks for protecting our lives while on earth, but more thanks for sending the shining light down for us to find our way at our darkest moments. Love ya buddy! RIH Cal.

Calvin, there is no greater love than when a man lays down his life for another. I think of you often as I hear of needless slayings in our country by illegal and legal individuals from other countries involved in serious crimes as this. I too am a Columbia, TN native and wanted to say thank you from my heart for bravely serving the citizens of Tennessee. This life is short and you left way to early. Hope to see you one day in Heaven for I know that is exactly where you are. A place of no pain, no tears, and no greater love from a loving and caring God. God Bless you.
