Steve, I'm really going to miss you. Being deployed in Afghanistan only makes is worse. I'm heartbroken for your wife and kids. I'm going to miss the times you, Kimo and myself would hang out on the shoulder of H-1 and watch your mom & sister, or brother drive by on their way to work. You were always so happy to see them.

I'm going to miss the times our squad would ride out together to Ewa Beach or Waianae for some "hammer time". It was always fun to see who could give the most tickets.

I'm going to miss the times we would ride to Wahiawa court and stop for breakfast at Sunny Side.

I'm going to miss the training days when we would laugh at each other when someone dropped their bike(s).

There are so many other good memories to share, but I won't so as not to give away any secrets to our sgts! I miss you bro. You are a good riding partner, a good friend and someone who people can always lean on. I was looking forward to riding together when I got back, but I guess that'll have to wait.

We lift up our prayers for the Favela and HPD 'Ohana... Our hearts are heavy with grief as we try to understand the 'why' of such great loss... But lifted with the hope of a time when we will see him again... To Glen, Danny, Ryan, Ike and all those gone before him... make a place for your brother, rest a hand of comfort on his family and friends that they look to one another for healing and continue to keep watchful eyes on the family of law enforcement that you served so selflessly...
