Margena I know we don't really know each other especially with the growth of our agency. I'm saddened that I never had the chance to work with you. I've seen you in traffic court a few times always with a smile on your face. Everytime I've seen you, your gold shines bright and your uniform is neat which means to most people you are proud of what you do. I am proud to say that I work at the same agency as you. To your husband and children thank you for letting Margena be apart of the Lee County Sheriff's Office. I know everyone calls it the End Of Watch, but actually your Watch Has Just Started. We will always be with you as you will be with us.

I began my career thinking that I could make a difference. These days, I am not so sure. What I am sure of is the simple fact that there are those of us who believe that there is a facet of greater good. Margena was one of those facets. She will shine on, long after the rest of us retire and move on. Her death was her time. When God pulls our pin, we have no choice but to go. It is the legacy that those who have departed leave behind that perhaps gives cause, or at least realization, of why such a tragic event could have been allowed.
Deputy Nunez - I will carry the tourch of your memory. I will remember what you have done, what you endeavored to do. You gave the highest, and for that, I hope you get a seat at the right hand of God.
Be in peace.

We must remember Margena is never really too far away, she is as near as the memories we hold of her in our hearts. Justice will prevail.
