Reading the bio information on your memorial page, you were a man that served, served, and served. God bless you, hero, and may you rest eternally in heavenly peace. "Thank you" doesn't seem enough for all you have given to this country, but I mean it from the bottom of my heart. All gave some, some gave all. Godspeed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

To the family of Officer Briggs,

I am truly sorry for your loss. Although I never met him, I am impressed by the accounts of his dedication to serving and protecting his fellow citizens. It may be said that we the public aren't aware of the sacrifices borne by our servicemembers, our police officers and the families. But on days like today, when there is a cool mist in the air, and a loss so sad it is difficult to comprehend, we are all too aware of the heavy burden of service. As a citizen, I am thankful for his service to our country. As someone who spends time in Manchester, I am thankful he was there to keep the city safe. I am sure the people he helped from the fire will always remember that day, and how he came rushing in to help them. And as a cyclist, I appreciate that he performed his duties by bike. I hope you are supported by many friends and family in the days and years to come, and know that he will not be forgotten.

As a former Chelmsord, Ma Police Officer I have some friends on MPD and my heart and badge are heavy for them today. The anger I feel towards the piece of trash that caused the heaviness is palpable. The City of Manchester lost a Warrior and a true Hero today and he will not be forgotten. I will be praying for Michael's family, friends and fellow Officers during this tough time. You fought the good fight brother, but worry not we will continue the fight from here! The Marine Corps Hymn (below) was written for Warriors like you.

Semper Fi Brother and Gods speed!

From the halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli' ,

We fight our countrys battles In the air', on land, and sea.

First to fight for right and freedom , And to keep our honor clean,

We are proud to claim the title Of United States Marines.
Our flags unfurl'd to every breeze From dawn to setting sun';

We have fought in every clime and place Where we could take a gun.

In the snow of far-off northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes,

You will find us always on the job - The United States Marines.
Here's health to you and to our Corps Which we are proud to serve;

In many a strife we've fought for life And never lost our nerve.

If the Army and the Navy Ever gaze on Heaven's scenes,

They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines.

Thank you for your service to your State and our Country. I pray for your family and hope that you meet my brother up in Heaven.

I guess Heaven was needing a hero
Somebody just like you
Brave enough to stand up
For what you believe
And follow it through
When I try to make it make sense in my mind
The only conclusion I come to
Is heaven was needing a hero
Like you

Semper Fidelis!
