The coward who took you from us, plead not guilty by reason of insanity this week. I look at your picture everyday in our renovated patrol assembly room and I remember the few times that our paths crossed at shift change.

You were always a sharp and squared away officer and your work in your last traffic stop helped catch the coward who took you from us too soon.

A year has passed and you have not been forgotten by those that love you dearly nor will your memory ever be forgotten. Continue to watch over your loved ones and wrap your wings around them and help them with their grief. Appear to them in their dreams in vivid color so they know you are near and watching over them. You are a true hero.

Keith, it has been a year and there isn't a day that goes by that we don't think about you. we love you so much.

If Tears Could Build A Stairway...

If tears could build a stairway
and memories a lane
We would walk right up to Heaven
and bring you back again.

No farewell words were spoken
No time to say "Goodbye"
You were gone before we knew it
and only God knows why.

Our heart still aches with sadness
and secret tears still flow
What it meant to love you-
No one can ever know.

But now we know you want us
to mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store

Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today-
A hollowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay.

Time was taken from you at such a early age.You have been honor a lot this year, First a candlelight vigil honoring you and other officer, then the service at Fraiser United Methoitd church. But the one that was so special was in Washington D. C. where all officer were honored, we were treated like royaled by everyone there, then when President Bush talked about you in his it made me so proud to know that you were my nephew. Iknow that PA PA would have been very proud of you also. Istiil think about you every day love you and miss you greatly. Uncle Jerome

Keith, though we never met, we have something tragic in common. You see, my dad was killed in the line of duty and died on September 30, 1951. Your EOW was September 30, 2006. You'll find it interesing that I met your mom recently while standing in the lobby of Walmart waiting for a rain downpour to let up. There she was, standing right in front of me, remembering you by wearing her NLEOMF T-shirt and badge necklace. Naturally we struck up a conversation and shared memories. I think about that day and know that is was providential for us to have that interaction. You've known all along that you have a mother who loves you very much and is doing all she can to ensure that justice is done. I feel sure that you and my dad are enjoying the peace of heaven. You'll always be our heroes!

To our son Keith

Montgomery Police Department buried another police officer this week. His name was Eddie McCrory and he was hit by a drunk driver who had no business behind a wheel of a car. The driver of the car has brought so much pain and heart break to his parents, brother and sister who did not deserve this heart ache. We attended Eddie McCrory's funeral. It brought back memories of your funeral. His funeral was very special, they spoken of his life and what a wonderful Christian he was.

Love you always
Mom and Dad

Today we buried yet another part of our family. Please help him by teaching him how to watch over all of us as u do. I know you are there everyday and not a day goes by that I dont think of you. I saw your wife the other day and she mentioned it was your birthday. I so wish I could have gotten to know you better. I still pray for your family and Ashley. We've never forgotten Keith and we never will.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

"Happy Birthday"

July 10th, God blessed Barbara and Eddie with you;
You were placed in their arms wrapped in a blanket of blue.
She grinned with pride from ear to ear;
While they envisioned their lives with you together for a many a year.

The first year of your life was filled with happiness and glee;
It was as though in this whole world, there was just you and them.
You filled their life with contentment and joy,
As they watched you sit on the floor playing with your favorite toy.

Before they knew it, you were a baby no more.
You were in you terrible twos; their life was surely no bore!
You soon developed a personality like no other.
They thanked God everyday for blessing them as your parents.

One day she made the mistake of closing her eyes,
When she opened them she found, much to her surprise;
That you were a young boy no more for you became grown.
You were married and had no babies of your own.

Throughout your adult life you had your good times and bad.
But no matter what, you seldom showed you were sad.
You are loved and respected by so many others.
A role model and mentor you are to your sister.

An officer you became and patrolled the streets.
In the line of duty you were taken away and now walk heavens beat.
The Angel in blue in your new given name
From now on July 10th will never be the same.

Today is your birthday, but something is wrong.
The guest of honor is missing and we all must be strong.
Although we are all sad, we must shed no tears.
For God blessed them with you for thirty wonderful years.

Although we are thankful, we miss you so much.
We miss you smile and laughter, all our hearts you have touched.
You will now celebrate this day in God's kingdom we believe.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Keith!

Something I've heard way too many times, 'officer down'! Such a tragic day. My brother, you rest well with the Lord and say hello to our other brothers who've gone before us. I will pray for your family asking the Lord to comfort them in the fact that you are with Him singing his praises. You are truly missed as evidenced by the reflections left here and by the comments I hear from your fellow officers. Tell Bruce, Donna, and JR I said hello and I miss them.

On this Fourth of July holiday...just wanted to reflect on Keith and his life and his sacrifices for our country and community. What an example of a true hero. I am comforted knowing that he was a man of God, and that though his body has fallen, his soul is today and forevermore until we join him, in the hand of our Creator and Father God. What a blessed hope for our family and for everyone who knows the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Until I recognize you in the Holy City cousin...my race continues...may I endure in the same spirit you did.

Much love and admiration
