Mr.Cook, I'm a bit of a recent hire to Metra and was doing some research into the history of the company when I found out about your passing. I've spent the past couple hours reading the reflections on your page here and I'm amazed at all the wonderful things everyone has to say about you. You have a very loving family, that's great to see. Although I never had the chance to meet you I'm sure you were an incredible man and a fantastic officer. You guys have our back when we have to go out to a trouble call and we really appreciate that. Rest in peace sir.

I still remember our conversations. How you would monitor local bands and come to back me up on calls although we were from two different agencies, and you didn't have to. I remember the stories you would tell me about past adventures. I remember how proud you were of your family, and how you were working hard to make a good life for them. Conversations about life? We had them. You were a genuinely GOOD brother, and I appreciated every time we were able to bump into each other for a quick convo.

I still remember the day of your funeral. The words from your family, and memories of the few times we shared became overwhelming, and led to a uncontrollable flow of tears. We had TRULY lost an asset to our community!!!

I miss you brother Tom. I will continue to give my all to make this world a better place as long as the Most High gives me breath and strength to do so.

Thank you for being a good brother. I learned a lot from you.
