Reflections for Officer Rodney Joseph Johnson

Deepest sympathies on the loss of such a fine officer. We need more police officers like him. His loss will be felt in every city in America where decent citizens respect the law, and the law abiding.

I met Officer Johnson when he was a jailer and remember him as being a truly remarkable person. He was kind and friendly to everyone he met and was extremely down to earth. May God Bless his wife, children and family. To his wife Officer Johnson, you are a strong woman and you will be in our hearts and prayers.

To The Johnson Family, friends & co-workers:

We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new

We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.

We think of you in silence
We often speak your name.

Now all we have are memories
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part

God has you in His keeping
We have you in our hearts.

May God bless you and your family. He will see you through these times.Being a police officer is a calling from God and it takes a courageous person to take on the task.Officer Johnson touched plenty of lives while here on earth, and even after his passing. I attended the funeral service and the burial and it was fit for a King. My prayers are with you and your family and I will pray that God watches over your children as he is there heavenly Father. God bless you.

My heart aches for and goes out to Rodney's family. I have heard and read so many wonderful things about this officer as well as his family. Truly an honorable man. I went to the funeral, as a show of support, feeling that is where I needed to be, and came away truly impressed with what a close, loving, Christian family you have. Remain close to each other, holding each other up, and stay close to God. He will see you through the long road ahead of you. Again, my heart and my prayers go out to you.
