Rest in Peace Rangers. Thank You for your Service and Sacrifice protecting the citizens of the Republic of Texas.

I Pray for Peace for your Families and ancestors and the men and women who have followed you. I also Pray that the heathens responsible for your murders are now being gnawed on by the hounds of hell.

Amen.

First Sergeant William H. Weaver .....
I come to this site nearly everyday now and read about hero's such as your self. I leave a reflection, the same reflection in an attempt to show the same level of gratitude to all fallen Officers. But after reading what is known about you and the other Rangers I was not only deeply hurt by your deaths but sorry that I had never heard about you and the other Rangers before this. I am not from Texas originally (but love this great state and will one day die here) but I would have thought that any one of the schools I had attended would have taught me about you and the other Rangers. You and the other Rangers fought valiantly. I may not have known about you before, I will now never forget about you or the other Rangers that died that day. God Bless. Rest in Peace

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

1SGT William H, Weaver is my 2nd Great-Grand Uncle. He was born at Cotton Gin Port, Monroe County, Mississippi in 1818. His father was Frederick Weaver (1776-1853) and his mother was Francis Wiley (1796-1847). He came to Texas in 1835 with brother Alman (1817-1836) and his step-brother Calvin (1807-1849) to fight in the Texas Revolution. Alvin died at Goliad and Calvin fought at San Jacinto. * His father fought at New Orleans with Jackson. 5 brothers fought with the CSA in the civil war and one brother, Charles M. Weaver was a Ranger during the "Cardova Rebellion." I have not been able to find proof that William fought in the Texas Revloution. May God bless his memory and the honorable life he led. May God protect all police officers and Texas Rangers. Thank you all for your service.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 170th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
