I can't believe that you have been gone for two years, there isn't a moment that I don't miss you. I have had the pleasure of hanging out with Louie and he is a wonderful kid and you would be so proud of him.

Please watch down on your mom and Dawn they have had some rough times and are missing you everyday.

To Trooper Longobardo and all his loved ones:

Joseph, you rescued us, saved our possessions, our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, Joseph. Your memory is honored and revered today, the second anniversary of your death, and everyday.

It's so hard to believe that it's been two years already. It still feels like yesturday that we were in the hospital praying that you were going to come home with us. There's not a single day that goes by, that I don't think of you!

I remember hearing about this when it happened but i just learned that the EVIL responsible got life. I hope that the ones that helped this Evil thing do this get hard time as well, because they all played a part. In some ways they are even more responsible because they had a chance to end it before you were taken. I continue to hope that the Lord makes it just a little easier as time passes.

Louie is so cute these days and more and more as he grows he looks like you. My favorite part of him is the space he has in between his front teeth because when he smiles it makes me think of you. He is such a BOY and I know you are proud of how smart and creative he is. We tell him stories about you and when he drives in his state trooper car it is the sweetest thing to see. I know you are watching over him and keeping him and Teri safe. I can't help but miss you and I know you are here because I believe it...

Bro,
We gathered again today to shed some tears and lay to rest another great friend, partner, Trooper and father. It hardly seems like we've had time to grieve you leaving, and we've had to say farewell for now to two more of the best people I have ever known. I continue to pray for your family and miss you terribly. Keep an eye on Strenk up there, he's new.

Hi Joe,
Moms birthday is tomorrow, I made her a photo album with pictures of you and louie, that's what she wanted was all the pictures that I had of you, I'm of course going to have to do a few of them for her because I can't fit all into one. I hope your ok and I know your watching over us but that still doesn't stop the pain. I love you, Dawn

Dear Joe,
Merry Christmas Joe. I visited your grave site on Christmas Eve, and I made you a beautiful evergreen cross wreath for your site. I had the opportunity to meet one of your fellow co-workers who was was also there visiting you and another NYS Trooper. I shared with him how blessed I felt to have known you the way I did. I want you to know, even though you aren't with us in person, you are always here in spirit. There isn't a day I don't think of you and your family. We miss you! God Bless You and Rest In Peace!!!
