Reflections for Police Officer Scott Alan Wertz

Hi # 2 son,

Well, here it is, another year that we have to celebrate the holidays without you because some scum bag took you from us.

It doesn't get any easier, but what gets us through is all the good memories we have of what was.

There won't be too much of a guessing game this year since most everyone knows what they are getting.

You will never be forgotten.

We love and miss you.

Hi #2 son

What a gorgeous day it was yesterday (weather wise). I do think we have to thank you for that.
It doesn't get any easier when you hear all those bikes roaring at one time. What a wonderful sound as you know too well. It is all those wonderful people, your friends, co-workers & their families, family, and all those wonderful people who never met you, but come out every year to show their support for Trish, Josh & Jared. I try and imagine what it must be like for them, but I can't, cause I know how hard it is for me.
I know you were there checking things out cause I found my coin from heaven and saw you fluttering in and around our area. Thank you for being there and giving us strength to get through such a difficult event. It does make it somewhat easier when we get to share all those wonderful memories we have of remembering you.

Thank you for also giving us a beautiful day on Saturday for John who puts a lot of work in getting the teams together.

Love & Miss you.

Hi #2 son,

Well it is so hard to believe that seven years have gone by so fast. It seems like it was just yesterday. You just can't imagine how you still are missed so much. There isn't a day that goes by that you are not thought of. It seems that when we need you the most you are always around. Thank you for that. We l;ove and miss you.

Hi Scott, seven year anniv upon us. How ironic the songs on the radio this past week and the huge yellow/black monarch butterfly that seems to be stuck in our back yard!! I know that you are not with us physically, but a part of you is always near. Just shared a few stories today about you/good times...you were one of a kind! Thank you for the memories.

Happy 47th birthday. I know it has been forever and a day since I have written something on here. Believe me -you know it isn't because I don't think about you every day. It is becaue I struggled with what to say that hasn't already been said a million times. So in honor of your birthday - I have decided to post what your wonderful son posted on facebook today in honor of your birthday! Here it is: It's hard to believe he would be 47 years old today. I couldn't imagine the gray hairs, or him being bald. I still see that young gun running around the base paths at Angelica Park. Or the guy that I used to tell he was old and slow, forgetting he was still fast enough to run me down. Everyone is reminiscing about the good times that have happened, which is great to see. Today is not a day to get upset about what has happened because we have done that a countless amount of times by now. Today is a day to give back the smile that he once put on all of our faces. Let him know he is missed and his days here with us were days we want to re-live everyday, days that we enjoyed and can't thank him enough for. Happy birthday pops.

I know you are so very proud of him like I am. He is such a great young man. Maturing nicely! Anyway - we love and miss you so much! XOXOXO!

Love forever,

Trish

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 6th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Thanks to your friends and family for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections.

Hey Scott, been awhile since I commented on here, I miss you buddy, I think about you all the time. I only knew you for a short time but man what an impact you had on me during that time. I remember what an exceptional officer you were and your humor and how you and Hevy used to joke with each other on D Platoon. I will NEVER forget you brother, I speak of you all the time with friends and family urging respect for our boys in blue. Your inspiration in my life is beyond words.......RIP Scotty

Hi #2 son,

It's been awhile. Just want you to know you are not forgotten. There isn't a day that goes by that you are not in my thoughts or talked about and it is always good. It still is not an easy task when your anniversary or birthday come upon us. We try and make the best of it. We became very good actors.

We did not see you close your eyes
We did not see you die
All we knew was that you were gone
Without a last good-bye
It was such a sudden parting
Too bitter to forget
Those who love you dearly
Are the ones who can't forget.

Please give us good weather for Aug. 12, 2012. We really need a good sunny day.

Miss and love you

Just stopping by to check in, say hello and ask you to be with Jared, Trish and family for his graduation today.....another event you should be here for... thank you for the good weather during the inagural Pa Division LEU ride this year. Next year could you please lay off the headwinds on day 1. They were pretty brutal, but as always when we ride, we remember why and that eases the pain just a little.... miss you my brother.....
