I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Callin family. I knew Mike well and like others I used to have him ride along while he worked in the Comm Center. His passion for this job was surpassed only by his love for family and the Lord. I feel like a better person having known Mike and blessed to have called him a friend. Save me a spot at the throne brother...See you soon.

It is a rare occasion in this day and age when you can stand up and say that it was truly an honor and a privilege to have known someone. I cant think of any finer way to put it than that. I feel truly blessed to be lucky enough to have been considered a friend by deputy Callin. Mike really was the nicest guy I knew and there is nothing that he wouldn't do for you. It hurts my heart and soul to know that he is gone, I can still here his voice in my head and see him sitting in the sector with me. No one deserved this less than Mike.
Mike, We will carry on for you. I know how much you loved your job and you can rest assured that we will continue the fight and you will never be forgotten.
Dave, Words cant express how sorry I am for all of this. Mike looked up to you more than anyone, and know that you did one hell of a job. I wish there was more that I could do for you. You know my family is here for you guys.
Vicki, Jackie and I are still here for you, always. You and Mike's kindness toward us in our time of need will never be repayed. I can only hope that we may be of some comfort to you in this time. Don't hesitate to call.

Rest well Mike, We'll see you again...

Reading the details of what happened to you scares me. Knowing you were only 26 and you are leaving behind a wife makes me so angry... sad.. hurt... grief-stricken.

Deputy Callin, you weren't protecting me IN my city, but you were still protecting me in the big picture.. and I'll never forget your sacrifice. Nor will I let anyone forget you.

I now begin lifting up prayers for your wife, sister, father, friends, and department. They are about to begin a journey only survivors can really grasp. I know you are going to have a blast in Heaven.. and I know Peter welcomed you with wide open arms and a huge smile.

God bless you
