Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Michael Anthony Callin

I am a widow. I want to express my sympathy, prayers,
and condolences to the family of Officer Callin.

This to me is so horrific to me to endure.

My late, cousin, was a detective with the NYPD in NY.

I want to let Mrs. Callin know, that this will be a hard
road ahead of her. My thoughts are with her and her family.

To loose a husband, at 26, who was just performing his
duties is too much to handle. I will continue to pray
for the Callin family.

We need to get these horrible people who continue to drive
even though, they are allowed to operate a vehicle off the
road.

I hope that justice will be served and to deliberetly hit
an offficer is just too much for me to comprehend.

I again, offer my condolences and hope that Mrs. Callin
is well.

My heart goes out to her and her family.

Sincerely,
Layla Michaels

Such a senseless act that took such a great person. Although we go to work everyday knowing the dangers that we face, we face them and do what we can to make a difference. You made that difference Mike, and the citizens of Orange County are proud of you. We will all miss you and will keep your dream alive. God Bless you and your Family.

Mike,

Maybe I am selfish because I am so sad for losing you here on Earth. However, I am happy for everyone's gain in Heaven because you are an awesome man that brings joy wherever you go. I remember specifically asking you to work on Special Ops Details for me because you would get the job done and do it well! Now, please work Special Ops for God and help protect us as we honor and remember you always. Rest in Peace brother.

Mike,

When it happened, I kept thinking, not Mike, he's too good of a guy, too young, too everything. While we waited at the hospital with no uplifting news, I kept thinking God has a plan for him, he might not be in law enforcement but God will use him as a pastor, a counselor, something. Then the worst news came. I don't know God's plan for him yet but I know it has to be big. For HIM to call someone so caring, loving, good natured and so young...

His dad and family, you raised a good man... be proud, know he touched many.

Be strong OCSO family...

Another senseless and tragic loss, Deputy Callin, I thank you for your brief but heroic service to the community. I could not belive when I was told at work last night that you passed, especially since the last thing I heard was that your condition was improving. Alas, God obviously had a greater purpose for you. To your family, I extend a helping hand to get through this trying time, your extended family is now much larger than you could possibly imagine, close to 400,000 strong, we will be there for you.

With Sorrow,

We are so sorry to here about your tragic loss of a loved one in law enforcement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in support. As we personally know, sometimes there is little comfort that comes from words. Keep focused as you can on the memories and joyous times for these things may bring you comfort. Rely heavily on family, friends, and other law enforcement. Honor your fallen loved one, for their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Deputy Callin -

Being a police officer who has lost a friend only recently to the same tragic circumstances, I hope that your family will find comfort in knowing that you died doing what you loved. Although nothing will be able to take away the pain of losing you, I hope they can find strength and comfort in the arms of those who will always remember you and the ultimate scarifice you have made to keep the world a safer place.

Please keep a watchful eye on your family and all of us who remain here to continue on with the job you so deeply loved. I am sure you were and are a great man - you will be missed - god speed brother.
