As our careers in the department takes different paths, I wonder how Nick's presence would have touched the lives of all he meets. God Bless all the Birco family.

Hey buddy I was just thinking about you today and I know you are up there in Heaven with all of our other brothers and sisters looking down on us... I joined FALEO back in December of 2010 and I know if you were here you would be a member as well....You and Brian T were honored at the First Annual Scholarship Dinner in honor of you and Brian.... Your parents and Holly and new baby "Nic" were all there and it was really nice.... Everyone misses you and we bring up crazy academy stories all the time.....Rest in Love bro until we all meet again.....

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I have shared moments with your family as we honor all our heroes, and they are in my heart's embrace today. Semper Fi.

Rest In Peace.

A bunch of Bayview guys traveled back to Washington DC last week to honor you and other SFPD fallen heros. We again told stories of you and Issac in fond memory. Going to NLEM and joining the thousands of other cops toasting you and their comrade-in-arms is uplifting and renews our sense of duty. Yet seeing the many devestated families who lost a loved one reminds us all of how precarious this job and this life is.

Hey Nick,
I can't believe its been three years since you left us. We keep living as you would want us to, but you are definitely a missing part of our lives. I think back to what a generous, giving, loving and happy person you were and God knows I miss you. One does not come across a person like you often, I feel your loss each and every day. I love you Nick!
