Rest in peace. Your service and courage will never be forgotten.

You gave your life doing something brave and noble. You set the bar for those of us who would follow you. If you could have only lived to see the legacy of good men that you produced, you would be proud. My grandmother, your daughter, was a great woman. She produced two extremely good men of her own, my dad and my uncle. I thank you not only for your courage and service Great Grandfather, but for your example to all of us. I will do my best to uphold your example, and will constantly strive to make this world a better place. Rest in peace, until we meet. Matthew 5:9.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
