Step....man i was just thinking about you calling me to a bad decomposed body at an apartment complex several years ago. I pulled up and could smell it out in the parking lot. I saw your unit parked outside but no Step...."I'm like where the hell is he." Bout that time you stick your fat head out the window trying to breath and with a smile you say "what's up Buice"....I'm like what are doing and you simply say, "waitin on you." I say "um, why not wait out here where you can breath." And yes this is where it was funny.....you say "I though I had to secure the scene." I laughed my ass off!

Dude I had to work your shooting and if anyone ever questions you being a warrior.....YOU give knew meaning to the word the way you handled that whole ordeal. You didn't have a chance, but fought it to the end....I know you have wings of iron now brother.....OSU!!!! Merry Christmas.

Hey Step, Chris got promoted last week. He wouldnt be here if it wasnt for you. I have a constant reminder of your bravery everyday in him. Ive got your Memorial Service program on a shelf in my office along with my Badge and and uniform patch. I look at them everyday. I was proud to be a DeKalb Officer, and prouder to have known you. Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you.

Hey Step. Just thinkin about you today. I went to a memorial service the other day for Mr. James Blick. He lived at Camp Gibson in Afghanistan. He joined you in heaven on the 29th. You were deep in my thoughts on that day already. Watch my back ok. I will talk with you again soon. Miss ya buddy.

Hey buddy, I was just thinking of you and had to leave you a message. Every swat training i think of you. You were always rate behind me in the stack on training days, barking out commands. "Begeal get behind your bunker look straight ahead!! begeal where the Hell is your flashlight" lol. You made me a better swat officer . I mention your name so i will never forget you. Seems like yesterday but it has been two years. You are still in my heart with every beat and with every breath I take. You have touched the lives of friends and strangers, of young and old. Your newest journey has just begun as God has called you home to do there what you already did here.
A hero , a best friend, a husband, a brother ,a son. I know you look down and cannot help but to laugh at some of the things have have happened in the last few months.. Who would have ever thought.
