To the family of Trooper Paul F. Barry.
I wish you all peace as you go through this horrible ordeal. I lost one of my 3-1/2 year old twin sons this time last year and I know that no words could ever provide any comfort. I only hope that God will provide you with the patience to get through this. My thoughts have been with your family everyday since I heard this tragic story and I will keep you all in my prayers.
God love you and keep your children safe.

To the wife, sons, daughters, parents, brother and sister as well as extended family and fellow troopers, of Tpr. Barry, I offer my heartfelt condolences. Everytime I come to this site and read about another loss of life especially due to a car accident it really touches my heart. I lost a wonderful NYS Tpr. brother in 1961 as the result of a car accident. Please know that I and all survivor family members feel your loss and pray for God's graces to sustain your family at this terrible time. May God's perpetual light shine upon Tpr. Barry and may he rest in His eternal peace. God bless his family as they carry on without his physical presence but believe that he is watching over all of you from a better place and will guide and protect you from above. With my deepest sympathy.

As a long time camp councelor,Paul was one of the best.
As a Husband and father he was outstanding.
As a Trooper,I saw him as proud and dependable.
As a friend, Paul was one of us, Always there when asked, would give you the shirt off his back, with his trademark smile no less.
Massachusetts did an outstanding job at his services.
But know this friends. We,his close friends, will be there to try to fill those huge shoes. To make sure that Paul will never be forgoten.

My husband was a responder to the accident and is still in disbelief that one of his own has passed. As an expecting first time mother, my thoughts and prayers are extented to Mrs. Barry and her beautiful seven children. Mrs. Barry you are a remarkable lady in every sense. The love you and your husband shared will never be replaced or forgotten. Until you meet again, rest a little easier knowing that your husband will always be a hero to so many and your "extended" family are never far.

Trooper Paul F. Barry - Accomplished more in 39 years than most could ever dream of in a lifetime. I was blessed to know Paul Barry and his wife Maryellen as friends. I pray for his family and his 7 children.

I can see now as I walk this path of life
Along with sunshine comes a little strife
And with it often comes a broken heart
And you feel like your whole world has come apart

And then from out of darkness comes a light
A light that says I'm here to help you fight
A light that shines so brightly from above
If we only put our trust in his great love

Lord you've opened up my eyes and now I see
The wondrous gifts that you have given me
Like my wife my friends my faith and family
And living in a Country that is free

So help me Lord to realize and say
A Prayer of Thanks for each and every day
For I know not what tomorrow has in store
But soon you may be knocking at my door

I used to work long hours every day
And at times I thought I don't have time to pray
I spend time with my family that I love
And my children that I am so proud of

Like so many in my search for happiness
I always realized as you might guess
That around me all the time were the real treasures
And material things and wealth are passing pleasures

Lord you've opened up my eyes and now I see
The wondrous gifts that you have given me
Like my wife my friends my faith and family
And living in a Country that is free

So help me Lord to realize and say
A Prayer of Thanks for each and every day
For I know not what tomorrow has in store
But soon you may be knocking at my door

As a wife of a Massachusetts State Police Trooper and we parents of two, we seem to live in denial and pray that the nightmare will never come true. As wives we always worry even though we try to not let it show. We are PROUD of our Troopers and the job that they love so much and do so well.
Trooper Paul Barry was my husbands classmate 1st platoon, which is why it hits so close to home. It seems like this could or would never happen and why we will never know. For all that he has done; his services, his dedication, his loyalty to his wife and how he honored his children will ALWAYS be remembered! Trooper Barry will always be in our hearts and minds, even though he may not be here with us, he is never to far behind.
My family would like to send our deepest condolences to your family, friends and to all the MSP Troopers. It is a reality check to us all and we stand by you hand and hand. It will be a hard long road a head of you but you will get by because you will remember that he is and will always by your side. I personally don't know what to say that will help you through this tragic loss, but as a wife of a MSP Trooper your husband/father/son/brother will always be remembered and NEVER will be forgotten!
May Paul rest in peace and may you also find peace for your family and all of those around you. We are very sorry for all that has happened and we want you to know that if there is anything we could do please just let us know! We will have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers each day. As Trooper Paul F. Barry will be RESPECTED, HONORED and FOREVER a HERO to us all!
God bless
