There are no words to express our thanks to our escort officers, Sgts. Karen DeMasi and Mark Caron. You are our family, and help me each day in my determination to "stay the course" for our beautiful children. Paul was the husband and father of a lifetime, and each of you honors him by helping us every day. As we approach our first year anniversary, I ask you to keep us in your prayers. Know always that you are in our hearts and prayers. Be well and be safe - With gratitude and our love always, Maryellen, Nicholas, Emily, Alexandra, Colin, Michaela, James and Elizabeth Barry

In memory of a loving Son,Father,Brother and Friend

Let this be a loving reminder.
That soneone is missing today,
Someone our hearts still hold on to,
As we travel along life's way.
Someone who made life so special,
for all those who gather here.
Someone who won't be forgotten,
But cherished from year to year.
And now as we pause to remember,
Let us all fondly recall,
How dearly each of loved him,
And oh....how he loved us all!!
Love Mum,Dad and family

Although i never was able to meet mr. Barry, through the interactions with his children, I know he must have been an amazing person. It takes a special person to raise children as incredible as the sons and daughters of state trooper Barry, and through them, his legacy will live on eternally. The Barry family will always be in my heart.

It still saddens me to see a classmate's picture on the Officer Down Memorial Page. Paul was a great, kind hearted person, dedicated to his family, and a professional through and through. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Paul, you will not be forgotten. Rest in Peace Brother.

As a classmate of Paul's in the 75th RTT, I feel honored to have met, trained with and worked alongside such a professional and hard working Trooper. Paul was a great family man and loved his seven children dearly. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers and you will NEVER be forgotten. Rest in peace classmate.

Your service to this commonwealth will never be forgotten. You are an example for every Trooper, Officer, and Citizen; and you are missed by so many. As you patrol the streets and highways of heaven, rest easy brother...We have the watch now. Watch over us all and help us to be the kind hearted person you were. As I re-read your kind words 4 months later, I thank you for all your support and the outpouring of sympathy following the death of my husband, Trooper Paul Barry. Since the first moments when this unimaginable tragedy struck our family, we have felt embraced and sustained by our extended family of law enforcement. Paul loved his family and the work he felt so fortunate to do - he often told me he had the greatest job on earth. I ask you to continue to pray for us during this difficult time. Know always that you are in are hearts and prayers, and that I believe Paul will watch over you and be with you always. With love and thanks, Maryellen Barry and the family of Trooper Paul Barry

MaryEllen and the Barry Family,
There are not words for your loss. I was devastated for you when I saw the newscast on that day. My prayers go out to you and your children. I am a long way from knowing your family, but I do remember you and Paul as a young couple.
I am a mother now myself, and I include you and your children in our prayers each night. May God sustain you and keep you.
God Bless -

A birthday pray for Trooper Paul Barry- August 26th

May you always walk in sunshine and God's love around you flow, for the happiness you gave us, no one will ever know.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, a part of us went with you the day God called you home.

If only love could have saved you.
You never would have died.

May you rest in peace and be with the Lord in Heaven for all eternity.

Happy 40th Paul!

Love Mom and Dad
