BRIAN IT SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN WE WERE IN THE ACADEMY. EVEN THOUGH IT SEEMS LIKE I ONLY HEARD YOU SAY 10 WORDS IN THE ACADEMY I FELT VERY CLOSE TO EVERYONE IN THE ACADEMY. THE NEWS OF THIS MATTER WAS SHOCKING. FROM THE FIRST DAY I MET YOU I KNEW THAT YOU WERE GOING TO BE A GREAT OFFICER. THEN I HEARD ALL THE PEOPLE THAT YOU HAVE SERVED TALKING HOW GREAT OF AN OFFICER YOU WERE. BRIAN YOUR JOB IS COMPLETE YOU ARE NOW PATROLLING THE STREETS OF THE HEAVEN GATES ALONG WITH FELLOW OFFICERS. I KNOW YOU AND JEREMY (CHAMBERS CAHOKIA PD) ARE DOING JUST AS A FINE JOB IN HEAVEN PATROLLING AS YOU BOTH DID HERE. BRIAN REST IN PEACE BROTHER YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. GOD BLESS.

My prayers are with this family and agency. We just lost one of our own, Constable D.D. Geddie 06/07/06 to a deranged gunman. As I thought about my friend D.D., this scripture kept coming to mind in the days following his death. Proverbs 3: 5,6 Trust in the Lord God with all your heart. Lean not onto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and He will guide your paths. Boys, these men would want us to go on and finish the job they started and so, with that, we must go 10-8. Rest in peace Brian. You've earned your rest.

Another hero taken from us by a needless drunk driver. My heart is broken for the children of this fine man, and for his co-workers. I pray you will find comfort and peace as time goes by. Deputies and other LEOs...let's make sure as mny as possible get taken off the road before they can do this to yet another officer or citizen!Deputikes at Calhoun County, please contact your nearest MADD chapter and work with a Victim Advocate to make sure the offender gets what he deserves in our judicial system!

You all are in my prayers. Don't let his death be in vain...every DUI you get off the road saves somebody's life!!

You all are loved and appreciated. God bless and know that Brian has wings in Heaven and will be watching over you all.

Love and hugs from your new Aunt in California,
Aunt LoVae

I recently lost a brother on the thin blue line and a very dear friend. His name is Dale David Geddie of Smith County, Texas, EOW-06072006. Our community is still reeling from the loss and dealing with the pain and grief. How disheartening to learn another brother of mine was taken on June 11th. Though I did not know Chief Deputy Gibbons, I know he was a man of courage and strength. Knowing that he sought the position of Sheriff in Calhoun County, tells me he was a man who cared about his community. Our deepest condolences are extended to Chief Deputy Gibbons, his family, friends, and co-workers. Our heavenly Father has him safe now. Rest in peace my brother in arms, we will continue the fight down here as you take a break.
