Wow, how small this world can be. My husband and I (both officers) were in Tyler this past week and we passed Constable Geddie on the road. Our hearts go out to the family and friends and please know that it is not how he died that made him a hero, it was how he lived. My God be with all of his loved ones during this tragic and trying time. Rest well my brother, we've got it from here.

Once again we have been reminded of the tragedy that can, and too often does happen to those in law enforcement who dedicate their lives to helping others. I am saddened by the loss of a man I have never met because I am reminded of another officer who lost his life in the line of duty close to where I live in 2004. My heart goes to the family of Constable Dale Geddie. Your "Man In Blue" will not be forgotten.
