It's hard to believe it's been 6 years ago today. My son, who is named after you, wants to be a police officer when he grows up. I haven't even told him about you yet, I wanted to wait until he is older so that he could understand that importance of his name. You've made such an impact, I'm sure you're doing the same in Heaven. You're so missed.

May you rest in peace and rise in glory as you watch over your brothers and sisters in blue.

Vicky, I taught about you the other day in one of my classes, and you made quite an impact on those that attended. You will always serve as an inspiration to me and everyone that answers the call.

As a former member of the Fairfax county explorer program, and then academy applicant, I miss you. We met at the Spaghetti Dinner at the FCPD Association Hall off Popes Head Road. We all were serving that night, and I got to shake hands with you........ a night that I will always remeber. The tragic day you left, I was leaving the Massey Building, then got a phone call as soon as I was leaving an interview, about what happend. I Cried for hours. got home turned on the TV, and then shut it off right away, I could watch anymore. Attending the funeral, along with my fellow explorers, we stood outside before the service began, crying, remembering, and praying. This is a day that I will remember as long as I am on this earth, with the hopes of one day seeing you again. We miss you and you will never be FORGOTTEN.

Vicky I remember our days in Reston like it was yesterday. I also remeber being told to go to the E.R and maintain. the scene not knowing who it was. Then finding out as you came in I re- live that moment every single day of my life. The helpless feeling the training kicking in and doing what I had to do, then when things slowed down sitting in my cruiser and relizing I had lost a very good friend and one hell of a cop. I think it really hit me on the long drive home seeing my wife and welling up and then falling out and lossing it. I will never forget you and Mike I miss both of everyday. I know you are watching over us

On this 5th anniversary (and mother's day), I want you to know that you are remembered just as much as that day 5 years ago. Those of us who never had the pleasure of meeting you have still been touched by your life. I pray for your family, especially your children.

Five years have passed; it certainly doesn't seem that long ago. Just wanted to stop by to say we still remember. Rest in peace, Vicky.

As I read these posts, I am tempted to be amazed at how one person can touch so many people. Then I remember you, and I am amazed no more. I only knew you for a short time, but you made a significant impact upon me. And though I have moved away, I still wear your name upon my wrist every day I go to work. You are my guardian angel, reminding me to be vigilant, and never surrender. I think of you always. Thank you for everything, Vicky.

Hey Vicky,

We're into the new year of 2011 now. Not a single day has gone by that I have not thought of you since that awful day in May. You haunt my dreams on a weekly basis. In truth though I look forward to those dreams just so I can hang out with you.
