15 years ago, we were all having dinner. Did not know that would be the last dinner we all spent together. Our family misses you but are thankful for the great memories we had with you and Sonia. Rest in peace our dear friend.

Dear Darryl - we have never met, but I have known of your name for the past 9 years.

Let me explain: I love Pt. Isabel, and my favorite part about it is the bench bearing your name. That bench overlooks City of San Francisco and Golden Gate Bridge, and sometimes I spend hours sitting there while Holly (my dog) falls asleep on my chest after a long walk

That bench has made a difference in my life as well as Holly's. I would like to use this Memorial Day to honor you, the hero I've never met. And I would like to tell you that not only have you touched the lives of everyone you have met, you have also touched the heart of a stranger, and despite the tragedy, your legacy lives on.

Thank you

Sincerely

A Dog Lover

DARRYL, I thought of you today as I do frequently. I always have this feeling I'm going to see you again somewhere. I know your always with us and I've thanked you for the close calls when something bad could have happened but for some reason it didn't. Thanks again you were my best friend.

Hey Darryl,
Been missing you for 7 years now...I know I was blessed to have shared so much with you. Your memory is kept alive and the kids have grown up hearing the stories of the adventures we shared. Haven't been able to bring myself back to Ruby to throw our lines in the water yet but I'll get there. I'm sure you've got the perfect spots scouted out to show me when we meet again. It's hard not having you here to lean on. Keep watching over us. Love you and think of you every day.

Your smile will never be forgotten. Your funny laughter will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered as a wonderful human being, police officer, dog trainer and great friend. Thank you for your service and for all you did to make the K9 Unit a first class dog unit. You are thought of often. I miss you.

It comes with a heavy heart to know that you have passed. I decided recently to search for men that I served with in boot camp and I am saddened to learn of your passing. However it pleases me to know what a wonderful man you became.
