I think of this officer nearly everday since the day of the terrible accident that stole his life. I was a block from the scene when I heard the explosion and ran to the corner to see what happened. I was on the phone w/ 911 and I did all that I could to help him, but nothing was enough. I feel such deep anger and disgust at the idiot that is responsible for this.
I so very truly wish that police officers were not out on the roads driving on motorcycles, I see this heroes face everytime I drive past one. God bless you all.

Sweetheart,

We are all remembering this day six years ago when we said good-bye at your service. It seemed so final then. But with each passing year it brings us all closer together again. With each passing year and the trials and tribulations keep coming, Jesus' promise is more and more comforting...

John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

Your heroism and service is honored today, the sixth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections.

Brigette, your messages of faith are inspiring and your love for your husband has no bounds. After reading your faith-filled messages, I have decided when I am in one of those dark places my mind takes me to, I will visit your husband's page to get a better perspective.

Brigitte,

Hi, I was trying to contact you recently, but was unsuccessful. Your husband saved my life 10 years ago. I remember him everyday. He was a brave man and a wonderful police officer. He and his partner, Officer Maria Gunter heard sounds of distress coming from a distance but couldn't locate the source. Your husband went around and put his ear up to every door in the building until he found where it was coming from, then kicked in the door and rescued me from my attacker who had broke in my apartment. One day, I was walking past Starbucks and saw a flyer with Officer Targozs' photo on it and recognized him immediately and went up to take a closer look at what the flyer said, and was shocked to find out he had been killed in the line of duty. I wanted to attend the services, but they had already come to pass. I would love to speak to you, perhaps you will get this message and try to contact me. I am so sorry for your loss and offer my sincere condolences. God Bless, Gina

Rob,

Just spending some time reflecting on the fallen heroes in AZ and all the funerals and memorial services I've participated in as a motor. I still think about that terrible night in the hospital 5 yrs ago... I still laugh about that SWAT callout that you breached the sliding glass door with the patio furniture and ended up getting gassed when your mask got ripped off... You still arrested the bad guy. I think about the academy and FTO when you took a little extra time and effort with the new kid to pass on your passion and knowledge... I guess I'm just rambling when it woulda been shorter just to say I miss you and the rookies are getting shorted not getting to learn from you.

I know you're RIP in His arms... I hope you're proud of the work that has gone on in your absence... You may be gone, but you're not forgotten....

Jared

It has been 5 years since you left this world today. I still think of you often and I will never forget our rides to and from the academy, the time we spent in the academy, or your (sometimes crazy) ideas of how to be the best officer.

Sweetheart,

This is a sweet poem by an unknown author. I pray this every night not so eloquently...

As angels keep their watch up there,
Please, God, let him know,
That I down here, do not forget,
I love him and miss him so.

Yours forever

Brigitte

Sweetheart,

I am sitting here late on Christmas Eve searching for songs that remind me of you and I just happened upon the most beautiful song!! It is actually sung by a woman named Sarah she lost her husband too. I must have been led to this song because her husband was a police officer too. She said she wrote this song to comfort others who've lost loved ones. She did...
It's called "Christmas In Heaven"
Christmas In Heaven

2008 words and music by Jeremy Johnson and Paul Marino

December hasn’t changed
This town looks the same
They still light that tree in the city square
There’s red, white, and green shining everywhere
And I wish you were here
And I wonder . . .

CHORUS:
Is the snow falling down on the streets of gold?
Are the mansions all covered in white?
Are you singing with angels Silent Night?
I wonder . . . what Christmas in Heaven is like

There’s a little manger scene
Down on Third and Main
I must have walked right by it a thousand times
But I see it now in a different light
Cause I know you are there
And I wonder . . .

Are you kneeling with shepherds before Him now?
Can you reach out and touch His face?
Are you part of that glorious holy night?
I wonder . . . .what Christmas in Heaven is like

Merry Christmas My Love,
Your loving wife
