Even though I haven't visited your site lately, don't think it doesn't mean I am not thinking about you. Just seems like sometimes silence is necessary when I am remembering you...I like to take in all my memories and think about you and what you would be doing that day or what you would look like that day. I never want the image of you to be gone from my memory. You are and were just too dear to be erased or gone from it.

Sometimes I see someone who just for an instant will look like you and my heart jumps. I wish you were still here, Sev, but since you're not, I just wish you Godspeed wherever you are.

It's that Holiday time when the aching is just more pronounced.....Love Ya

When I come to the end of my journey
and I travel my last weary mile,
just forget, if you can, that I ever frowned
and remember only the smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken;
remember some good I have done.
Forget that I've stumbled and blundered
and sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
and won, ere the close of the day.
Then forget to grieve for my going;
I would not have you sad for a day,
but in summer just gather some flowers
and remember the place where I lay,
and come in the shade of the evening
when the sun paints the sky in the west.
Stand for a few moments beside me
and remember only my best.

Sev

Your mom is going to need you to keep a wall of protection around Big D in Iraq, for both of their sakes. We don't need anymore life changes right now.

We are going to say our prayers and keep your family in our thoughts as she serves her country. Miss you, superman!

I understand your sister is in Iraq for a year. I am sure you are going to be with her protecting her so she can go back home to your mom. Put a good word in for them.
You are missed so much by so many people.

It has been a long time brother. Even though I was new and worked in radio, you were one of the first officers to treat me as a brother in the department. Thank you for that. Thank you for your friendship.

I visited you at the cemetary the other day during shift, right there next to Nick. I'll never forget that night. There are MANY new guys and gals at the department that never knew you but I promise you they will never forget your legacy or legend. You fought a good a damn good fight and that is all we can ask. Thanks again Scott.....

You will be on everyone's minds tomorrow during the golf outing. I know that you will be there in spirit though I wish it would be in person. Pull some strings up there to help us with the weather! Miss you more than you know!

Happy belated Birthday Scott! I can't believe it's already been over two years since you were taken from our community. I can still remember when "Breaking News" came across the television and stated a South Bend police officer had been shot. My heart just felt like it fell out of my chest. You are still thought about and remembered in our community every day that goes by. Well, Happy Birthday to you. Keep watching over your fellow Officer's and keep them safe always.... Godspeed!
