As a little girl you dream of a knight and shining armor who will come along and sweep you up off your feet, never did I imagine in life that this dream would come true. Matt came dressed in his ghostbuster costume and swept me up right away. The memory's Matt and I shared will never be forgotten, I miss you so much Matt, That everyday is a struggle without you. I miss your beautiful smile and hearing your voice everyday. I miss you telling me about some of the stories and the fire dept. Life is so different not having you with me. One day we will meet again and I can have you in my arms. Miss you deeply.

Forever friend

Matt, I hope you realized in life how many different lives you touched. Now, that you are gone, your spirit lies within us even more. I find it incredible that so many people who never met you, admire you couragousness. We tend to take family for granted in that you were always supposed to be there. You are a true hero. I hope my son that carries your name, Logan Matthew Daniels, has all of your wonderful sense of self, humor, and heroism. I am sorry that you didn't get to meet. You would have adored him. He is going to have grandpa's eyes. You are missed so much by everyone, and we think of you every day. I will do my best to take of your mom & dad, and your brother. Give big kisses to grandma & grandpa. Watch over us, and give us more of those "little signs", you know how your mom is. She loves them! We all need them now.

Thinking of you, your family, and your department today Officer Tuttle. I hope that precious memories of you have allowed happiness & laughter to flow amongst them. Contrary to "popular" belief, time does not heal this wound. Only love and support can guide those that know and love you through their days. I hope knowing that you are remembered helps your loved ones, both your immediate family and your police family.

Take care...

My Dearest Matt: I miss you so much. You have given me the strength and knowledge to live my dreams. Thank you for teaching me so much. You are still with me every second of every day. 143

To Everyone Else: If there is one thing that I have learned through my recent experiences is that life can be short and that you should live your life to the fullest everyday. Don’t let life pass you by. Do the things that make you happy. Don’t worry about what other people think and be with the people that you care about the most. I am proud to be to have shared that time I had with Matt and He lived his dream and gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Matt, I've been thinking about you alot the past few weeks and can't help but wonder how much more of an impact you would have had as a reserve officer in you community. Every thing you did was for the benifit of others, your resume proved that. Even in death you have motivated me to be a better person and for that I thank you. Please watch over us (your classmates) family and friends. I'll see you again. God Bless

Matt,

You have been gone five months. Five horrible months. September 11th this year ment something else to me. A day of remembering thousands of people who lost their lives but also a day to pay tribute to all EMS, Police, and Fire Fighters who do such wonderful jobs. This year it also meant remembering you and all you did remembering all you did after the horrible tragedy on Septermber 11,2001. We miss you here on earth and you will always be loved. Thank you for all you did for all of us.. friends, family, and complete strangers. Mary, your parents, brother and everyone else all miss you dearly. Watch over us all from up above and help us through every challenge we face.
We Love you and miss you.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Tuttle, especially to his wife. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. You will be in my thoughts.

From reading all the reflections left for Matthew, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Matthew's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Matthew's life was about so much more than the way he died. Matthew will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Office Tuttle, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been three years but we still miss him terribly.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)
