Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Pierre Walter Bain

Pierre my friend, you will be truly missed. I will miss your every morning smile and funny story you had for everyone. Your dedication to your profession was amazing as was your dedication to you family. We have all lost a true friend. Diana and your girls will be well taken care of my friend, no worries there. I truly hope they have a new KTM and a triple for you to enjoy. Rest in peace my friend...LT.D

Pierre, Romans chapter 13 states that law enforcement officers are ordained by God and are God's ministers for righteousness...

Thank you for fighting on the side of righteousness with us all. We all grieve over the loss of you but are thankful to have worked with you and laughed with you.

Pierre,

Thank you for keeping an eye out for myself and my daughters. I felt much safer knowing you were out there. I believe you are still looking out for us but from a much higher place.

Thank you for sharing your stories about you wife you loved so much and your daughters. If you girls read this, your dad loved Dana and hope you feel the same. Make good choices :-)

I miss walking out to my car and not seeing you parked there gettin' the speeders! I will miss you!

Meet me at the door will ya?

Diana, We never met your wonderful husband, Pierre, but knew of his kindness and love for you and your critters, especially the Collies, through testimony from your friends out in CA. Our hearts go out to you and I think of you and your loved one everytime I go in my 'special room' where I display the beautiful art work you sold us of the Collie going over the high jump...I hope you know that you are loved and that thoughts and prayers that you are comforted in this awful time are being sent your way from afar...Love, Greg & Robin Ungano, Doe Run Collies, North Carolina.

Diana,

As your Collie friends and fellow neighbors our hearts go out to you and your family. Unfortunately we never had the pleasure of knowing Pierre but after attending the memorial service I feel as though we did. Those who spoke during the service told of a man who made an impact on everyone he met and a man who loved his family dearly. His embracement of life and his love of it were evident. After the service, I returned home to Acton, walked out to my Collie and sat down with him to spend a moment looking at the beautiful mountains. As I "breathed in the air" and as was said in the service, I felt his spirit all around me. When you return from the Collie National I know you will feel Pierre's spirit living on in the wind.

To Diana and all the Bain family,
My heart goes out to you on the loss of your dear Pierre. Being new to the collie group I haven't had the pleasure of knowing Pierre but from all the messages and tributes I have read it is very clear that Pierre was a blessing to everyone he met. The fine character and courage he displayed will always be in the hearts and minds of your friends and family. Some people live a long time and leave nothing to society; Pierre left way too early but left a legacy which will carry his good name on for others to benefit. Diana, may you always hold on to your memories and let your collies bring to you the love you both shared in them.
My family sends prayers and comfort to you and your family.

Diana and the kids will be well taken care of. Life won't be the same without you. I miss you your friend and partner.
