Well, another year daddy. This marks 15! Where has the time gone? We all still miss you like crazy!

Your grandkids are growing like weeds and bickering and backtalking ALL THE TIME! Ha! I'm sure you're up there getting a kick out of it considering how wonderful I was growing up. I'm enjoying every moment of it but wishing you were here to help guide me. I can only hope to be half the parent you were to Kristina, Alicia and me.

Kristina got married and is having her wedding in Oct. I still can't believe it! Alicia has 2 more kids. Another boy and a girl. You now have 9 grandbabies!! 3 boys and 6 girls! You're seriously outnumbered dude! You would still be so proud of them. They are all doing great!

Your birthday is in two days. This is the day we look forward to. The girls and I started a little "tradition" on your birthday years ago, (at the request of the youngest when she was around 4), to send you a balloon and say a few words. She is now 10 and reminded me again tonight. She said, "Don't forget to get grandpa his balloon!" That one reminds me so much of you! You have somehow created a special bond with her since before she was born.

Please continue to be our guardian angel. I love you forever and miss you always! ❤

Until I see you again.. R.I.P.

Pierre has been a huge part of my life from September 5, 1979 to March 23, 2006 as my greatest love, only husband. Beyond his ashes, Pierre continues to reassure vividly in my dreams our love has surpassed everything here on earth and beyond. What a gift not everyone gets, we are forever connected. Before his death, we forgave each other and had peace. I struggled with his decision to become a deputy in 1991 because of a premonition that became true, yet understood, accepted and supported him as a good wife. I will always have many wonderful happy memories, my forever husband, an epic father and late grandfather of our amazing offspring! We miss Pierre living in our family today but know he is always with us in spirit and in blood with our babies and grand babies. He keeps on smirking through our daughters and grandkids!

Thank You Deputy Bain for your Law Enforcement Service. Although I live in Riverside County, all law enforcement put their lives on the line everyday so I can travel safe on the roads. You will be missed but never forgotten. RIP

Hey Daddy,
It's been 9 years since you left us. I still think about you and miss you everyday. You now have 6 grandkids from me and 1 grandson from Alicia. You would be real proud of Kristina and Alicia. They are both doing great. Alicia has been a great mom. Not a day goes by where I don't show my children pictures of you and tell them what a great man you are. I tell them how goofy you are and all the crazy crap you use to to and they just laugh. You would just love them all. I'm so sad you didn't get to meet them. One day.
Please watch over them and my husband Derrick everyday. He is in the Army and does EOD (bomb squad). You would just LOVE him. He reminds me of you but more serious. Which is good since I inherited all of you crazy goofiness! My kids will always know and love you... even though they never met you. I love you forever daddy! R.I.P

I had the very great pleasure of serving with Pierre on two different occasions during my career. The first was when he was a young husband and new father. Every morning he would greet me with a story of his little girls and their antics. He was a good partner and a loving father. Later in my career I would serve with Pierre At Lancaster Station. During his time as a motor deputy Pierre (Peppy, to his friends) would often be seen assisting the motorists of the Antelope Valley. He was truly one of the most service oriented people that I have ever had the great pleasure to work with. He loved his job and the community he served. He was a fine man and it was my great blessing to have known him. He is sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, my friend.

Pierre, I think of you often and miss the short time we spent together as buds. You always smiled and that was a bright spot in our days. I remember that darn du-rag and I wear one now myself when I ride my Harley.

Ride free in heaven bro, we'll meet again.

Diana - I miss you and Pierre so much. So much has changed. Today is the first day that I have ever cried that Pierre was gone. Until this day I always smiled. He always made me laugh. I keep a picture of the two of you at my desk at work and everyday I think about how much you loved each other. I am searching for that same love now... God Bless You Diana!

I still remember the last time we saw each other like it was yesterday. My wife was driving and you clocked her over the speed limit. When you asked her for her license and reg, you looked over at me in the passenger seat. It took a second but I could tell you remembered who it was. At the same time, my youngest daughter, who was in the back seat, got car sick all over the place. I'll never forget you saying "Well, I guess that covers the speeding." I never laughed so hard.

That is just one of the many good memories I have of you and our time working together. A day doesn't go by without me thinking of you, Steve, and Brandon. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Brother.
