To the Famialy, Friends and Co-Workers of Officer Melchionda: We share your loss and pray that your grief be lifted and know that God has a blue angel from your department watching over all of us and we are grateful that Matt was a cop.

Keep your heads held high and faith in your hearts...we will be re-united with our loved ones in time.

Thank you Officer Melchionda for your willingness to protect your community. You are a true hero. I come to this website to pray for my California Highway Patrol Officers who have died in the line of duty and am saddened when I see more officers from around the country are added. I always hope there will be no more. Thank you for wearing the badge and keeping us safe. You are loved and appreciated.

To Matts Wife, I'll always fear the grief your going through right now, and each day I think not only of our police officers killed, but the ones they left behind that loved them. My husband is at the funeral now, being sure to attend to honor your husband. Both of us wont forget. New Jersey wont forget. To all those police officers out there, be sure to tell your wife and kids you love them before you leave for work, be sure to be as safe as you can.
God Bless the Melchionda family and Matts brother who remains a police officer.......and never forget Matt Melchionda.
