Jesus is my front sight,
Sovereign in my life.
In slumber or in battle,
He guides my warrior stride.
Jesus is my front sight,
FOR HIM NO MAN I FEAR!

"A MAN IN BLUE"

A man in blue has lost his life in service of law.
The love that makes this sacrifice the greatest love of all.
A Police man was killed today, the reason I cannot say.
I don't know why he had to die.
The man in blue died for me and you;
we must remember him too.
Flags fly low, let use bow in prayer
for fallen police men everywhere;
and remember this: that they are missed.
The badge burns bright like an evening star
free from a world of war.

My most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fellow officers of Officer Sell. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To his family - this is a very painful journey that none of us wanted to take. Please know that you do not walk this path alone, but with many other people who share your suffering. Officer Sell will not be forgotten; he is walking Heaven's streets of gold and is forever safe in the arms of the angels. He will look down on you all, will guide and protect you as you continue on without him.

Thank you, Officer Sell, for your service and ultimate sacrifice. May God bless you and may you rest in peace, Blue Angel.

Officer Sell --

After having just lost one of our own officers -- Sgt. Henry Prendes -- on 02/01/06, I extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you, your family and your department.
Like you, Sgt. Prendes was gunned down by a violent suspect (this one armed with an assault rifle). The loss we feel here in our large department is profound -- I can't imagine how much more personal it must be for a close-knit department such as Gassville.
I don't have to know you personally to thank you for the ultimate sacrifice you made last night. It's officers like you, Sgt. Prendes, and the thousands of others who don the uniform each day, who keep the rest of us safe in a world that seems to be spinning out of control.
I would like to personally extend my thoughts and support to your dispatcher(s), too (I am one here in Las Vegas). Sometimes they are forgotten 'victims' in tragedies such as these - and I can tell you, we cry and hurt for each fallen officer, too. It's our job to make sure everyone goes home at the end of the shift - safe and sound - and even though in events such as these, we are powerless to change what transpires; there is always a wish that we could have done more to change the outcome.
May you rest in peace, sir ... your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
