Words can not say enough but, we mourn another hero that has been taken from us. If it was by accident or crimes against an officer it is a great loss. We will be praying for your family during these trying times. My deepest sympathy to the family, friends and co-workers. May the Lord give you strength and bless each of you during this time.
Remember these few verses from Psalm 23, The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

We lost one of our own this last week and we know the pain everyone feels when one of their protectors is lost in the line of duty.

We pray for the family and friends of Officer Sell and know that it is because of police officers like him that we can sleep better each night.

After almost 11 years sevring as a Security Policeman in the Air Force, I seperated from the Air Force in November of 1984 and joined the Blytehville Police Dept in Jan 1985. I had the good fortune to be assigned to Lt. Jim Sell's shift. Jim Sell was one of the finest Police Officers that I had ever known. He dearly loved being a Policeman. That is the one thing I remember most about him. Lt. Sell's honesty and integrity were above reproach. His uniform was always neat and his badge and brass polished. During my tenure at the Blytheville Police Dept I tried to model myself after Lt. Sell. I know he will be missed by many. May God bless the work he did, and be with the family and friends during this time of loss.

To the family and friends, you are in my thought and prayers.

He is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your
back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.
