Reflections for Officer Erick Shane Manny

Erick, I think about you daily! I pray for you, Nina, Teagan, and Toran everyday! When I drive past the site I know you stand there waving. I know you are still on the Vine protecting the highway...I still feel your presence. I am very honored to have known you. Thank you for all you have done...go and rest. Be with peace in the Lord!
XOXO

To Officer Erick Manny, his loved ones and his fellow officers with the CHP:

I was so saddened to learn of the death of another young officer from the CHP family. On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences for the grievous loss you suffered when Erick was tragically killed in the line of duty.

Erick, please know that your memory is honored and revered today.

My heart goes out to your family. You’re in our thoughts and our prayers.

Erick, you rescued us, saved our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, CHP Officer Erick Manny.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service Erick gave to his community and the citizens of California, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on December 21,2005.

Erick, I saw your picture on America's
Most Wanted a few weeks ago. I
recognized you from this site. CHP has lost 5 of their officers in the last
5 months---just devastating. My hope is that this violator is apprehended and brought to justice.
Time will never diminish your
sacrifice. My heart goes out to your
families, both at home and at work.
God bless.

I was reading memorial pages for my son Andy and I found this Memorial. I am so sorry for your loss. My son loved his job and always strived to do the best he could. I am still very proud of him. I know that your hearts are hurting and I know how real that pain can be. You have every right to stand tall and be extremely proud of your husband and father and son! If I could take away the pain from your life I would do so. Failing that I hope God gives you peace. May God be with you always as He is with me and my family
