Your service is honored today, the 75th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Although I never met you....I feel love and pride in my heart for you. I visited the Prison Museum yesterday, I saw your Memorial Tree, the paver and your picture that is on the wall in the case and showed my children, of course your great grandchildren. I can not explain how proud I was at that very moment to be your granddaughter. One day, Grandpa, I will get to meet you.
Love,
Carol J. Shiflett
