Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Jason Alexander Oliff

hey bird,
been thinking about you lately. Your neice Abigayle is about to turn 1 yr. old. I can't beilve she is getting so big so fast.kaitlyn is about to start school next august. I hope she does well. I'm going to sign her up for fall ball in august. She's going to be my little tomboy. holly has been doing okay, I talk to her every once in a while to check up on her. I know you would want us to make sure she's going to be alright and I think she will be in time. you would be so proud of Mandy, she is such a good mom. Your grandma isn't doing so good, she's been having strokes. So I ask any family that reads this to pray for her.To Aunt Jessie, you can write me at this adress if you like cause little Jerry said you read everything I write. I'd love to talk with you. Mandy finally got her a car, she's so excited about it. she is about to start going to school soon. Jerry is about to go back to school too and get his welders certificate so he can get a better job. Well Jay, we miss you like always and never will get over missing you. You were like the big brother I never had and I miss your laugh and your little pranks. I would give anything to have you back but I know God's plan is better than mine and there was a reason this had to happen it just sucks so much that it was so soon. Look after my dad up there and give him a big hug for me. Losing both of yal is so hard. But I know I'll see you again one sweet day. so untill then,I love you and see you soon.

love Always,

In honor of the sacrifice Deputy Oliff made, my wife and I will honor Deputy Oliff by wearing a bracelet with his name on it for a 250 mile bike ride known as the Police Unity Tour Ride. This ride starts in Chesapeake VA and ends in Washington D.C. at the LEO memorial. Upon completing this ride, my wife and I would like to get this bracelet to Oliffs loved ones. We would like to offer our deepest condolences and thank you and your family for the honor of this ride in honor of Deputy Oliff who made the ultimate sacrifice.

JJ,
I can't even put into words how much I miss you. My heart is broken in hundreds of pieces.

April 22nd was especially hard since that would have been yours and Holly's wedding day.

Holly has always felt like an Oliff, and on April 13th she legally became Holly Denise Oliff. That was the most important thing to her...she now not only shares your heart, but also your last name

I sat here and read everything everyone wrote about you. You touched so many lives. I hope to meet you in the next life because I know I will like you. Rest in peace, Deputy Oliff. May your family, friends and fellow officers find comfort in the words written by others.

To Deputy Jason Oliff and his loved ones and his fellow officers with the Brazoria County Sheriff's Department:

I was so saddened to learn of the death of another young officer in the line of duty. On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences for the grievous loss you suffered when Jason was tragically killed.

Jason, please know that your memory is honored and revered today.

My heart goes out to your family. You’re in our thoughts and our prayers.

Jason, you rescued us, saved our possessions, our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, Deputy Jason Oliff.

On behalf of the Pearland Police Officer's Association, I wanted Deputy Oliff and his family left behind to know how much we appreciated his service to our community. As our agencies share jurisdiction and as we have hired many former Brazoria County Deputies, our agency and association had many members who knew you personally. All of them had only positive comments about you and your commitment to your service. Most mentioned to me about your sense of humor. May God Bless you and those left behind.

Sincerely,
Chad Randall

Jason,
It was about 6 a.m. on the morning of the 5th of December when I got the call from dispatch that I had a DPS agency assist for a fatallity accident on F.M. 2004 at Amaco. When the Dispatcher told me it was you that was killed I could not beleive it. I hung up the phone and dropped my head and could not hold back the tears. When my wife asked me what happened she could not hold back the tears either. Jason you were a great friend and you will be missed greatly. I remember when we worked together in the jail and you were so full of life. I loved when we were assigned to the same post cause I knew the shift was going to be a fun one. Then we were on the streets together, in different districts, but it was still nice to be on the same shift with you. God speed brother I know your watching over us. To Holly, your a great and wonderful person. Keep your head high and if theres anything I could ever do for you don't hesitate to call me
