Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Officer Henry "Hank" Nava, Jr.

Officer Nava paid the ultimate price to protect the Citizens of Fort Worth and the surrounding communities. My family’s prayers are with Officer Nava’s family, kids and extended family along with the officers of the Fort Worth Police Department. There are not many words to describe the heart felt and deep loss felt when another Brother in Blue losses their life serving and protecting. Peace and God be with the family and those involved in Officer Nava’s funeral.

Kayley and Justin, your daddy is in a better place. He's going to have a big Christmas with Jesus. God will always be with you and so will your father, watching over you and your mommy now until forever. He was a hero and we won't let anyone forget him. I promise.

For the second time in less than a month, we mourn the loss of a brother. Officer Nava, it is for your courageous acts and heroism that the citizens of this country sleep peacefully at night. You came to work on November 29 a hero, and you will be remembered as such.

So it is with great pride I pin this badge on my chest, and with great sorrow I wrap the black band around it. With a heavy heart and a head held up high, I go on to battle another day. I fight knowing that people like you stand at my side - men and women willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep this country safe.

God bless you Officer Nava, and God bless your family for providing you with the support you needed to carry out your calling as a hero. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten. Rest in peace my brother.

Hammerin Hank,

You will be so dearly missed, your smile, your laugh and your wit that you carried with you everywhere you went. I feel so blessed to have known you. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Hank there is no doubt in my mind you are smiling and dancing in the presence of the Lord. Your family will be taken care of by the thousands of lives that you have touched here on earth with your gentleness and kindness. God Bless Teresa, Kayle and Justin along with the rest of the Nava Family.

Hank, you were one of the brave in blue. You did your duties to the best of your duties, but unfortunetly you were taken from us way to early. I pray for your family and coworkers. Go rest high on that mountain and be our guardian angel while we continue to protect the streets down here. God bless you and your family.
