Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Detective Dillon H. Stewart

It's so cowardly for an individual to use a gun, because he is trying to escape the consequences for breaking the law. Officer Dillon Stewart life was taken by a "thug with a gun", and it's quite unfortunate. My condolences go out to the family and the New York Police Department. Officer Stewart your shift is over now, we will take it from here. Rest in peace, brother...

Thank you for your sacrifice. I carry your memory with me everyday and think of you when I say goodbye as my loved one puts on that uniform and leaves for work. May God be with your family. I awoke this early morning to the news of this incident, not far from my own neighborhood at that. At the time, you hadn't passed away yet & I literally stopped & said a prayer for your recovery.
Such a short life, a short career..but a long, lasting impression..
May you rest in peace brother in blue..and may your family & friends find some consolation in knowing they're not mourning alone.
