Reflections for Officer Andrew Todd Stevens

I remember this young officer, and how he was killed. I’m so saddened that becoming a LEO means having to put up with the friction. Thank you for your service, your life, and the service of your family that thought of you, and prayed for your safe return, only to find out you were never coming home again. #prayforthem

Do you know Alex and I talk about you all the time, I think about you all the time? I bet you are stoked to have both moms with you now in Heaven. I'm super upset that you are all up there but that's not something I can do anything about. God and I are still working through that. I miss your smile, I miss the way you always kissed my cheek before I left (or any woman for that matter), I miss your laugh, I miss your sweet selfless self. You are such a true hero. I miss you all the time. Give the moms big hugs and kisses. Muah! XOXO

Andy was a great classmate! I was heartbroken to hear of his passing so many years ago. Seeing his picture today made me smile. I know that Andy is looking down on us and will always remain in our hearts. Continue to rest in peace, my friend.

Officer Andy stevens died a true Hero on my birthday and will never be forgotten. I believe he did not only stop one murder for hire, but most likely many more. I believe i was One of those on that hit list and see now that Andy not only stopped one contract killing but me possibly being the one after. Much respect and Thank you for your service. I will always remember you! You have always been my first, best and most admired friend for as long as I can remember. Everything about our friendship is deep in my memory and I feel the associated feelings every day, I have never missed someone quite as much as I miss you. Listening to records,I won’t say which to protect both our musical tastes, will always be one of my fondest memories. CL in blue silk forever! Well Andy, in a few hours it will be 10 years and not a day goes by without some memory of you entering my thoughts. I play "Andy's Song" quite frequently and as I sing, memories of us working out of Woodland together flash by. We had some great times Andy, visiting a few farms educating the farmers, and you educating me on Implements Of Husbandry (lol), or the few times we split teaching time with our classes for the local trucking companies. And then the time I was laid up and you showed up at the hospital and just mosied on in out of the blue. Man, what a HUGE heart you had!!!!!
I guess I should finish this now as it is getting difficult to see the keyboard.
Continue to rest in peace, my friend. You will never be forgotten.

Andy
You will are truly missed. You made each H.O.G. meeting exciting and fun. It seemed like Christmas at each meeting, you never knew what was going to happen or what kind of fun you was going to have. Out of uniform youniform a person wouldwould never know that you was a police officer. You made each person feel at ease. We miss you.

Andy was working as a Commercial Officer out of Valley Division, but dressed out of the North Sacramento Office, where I worked as its Front Desk Officer. His locker was next to mine on the left. Our quitting time was the same, so we had many conversations. I remembered Andy as always being confident, positive, and encouraging. So, the pain upon learning of his death was especially poignant for me. I am better for having known him.

Andy, you came to my office on several occasions, and I saw you frequently around Valley Division. I retired less than a month after you were killed, but I still see your face and feel the pain. You were an excellent officer and a wonderful person. So many miss you. Rest in peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the sixth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. Your mother and I became friends after having met at ceremonies honoring the fallen 2005 officers, and I miss her very much. I like to think of the two of you together again, and that remark is meant with the greatest respect for both of you.

Rest In Peace
