Reflections for Police Officer Brian Howard Jackson

Brian was a really great person. I didn't know him very well, but he went out with my sister for a short period of time. I had no idea what had happened to him until I was watching Channel 5 News in Charleston tonight. I am so sorry for his family and his wife. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

I am the wife of a law enforcement officer. We lost one of our own in 2004. It was extremely hard especially in the manor it happened.

I just wanted to let you know that your husband's, son's, friend's sacrifice will forever be appreciated. He will never be forgotten. His name now lives on in many people's minds. Those who never met him will remember him in their hearts forever.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Brian,
You have been away from us one year today. A day doesn't go by that we don't think of you. Thanks for all of the reminders that you send us while we are continuing our tour of duty down here. It's good to know that you are watching over us until we meet again. Love you brother.

Brian,

I can not believe it has been a year…You are deeply missed by so many…Many say that the walls of Central are not the same without you…I will forever cherish the days I rode with you and my last shift as a DPD officer riding with you in your squad car…I think of you often and keep Jo-Ann in my prayers…Your time here with your family and friends was cut way to short but I know you are watching out over them, so keep them safe…You touched many lives and your memory lives on in our hearts!

Rest in peace my friend!

Brian,
I can't believe it's been a year. I haven't written on one of these yet because I could never really find the words. I was blessed to have known you, even if it wasn't for very long. I'm so happy to say that my first police ride-out with you~ you taught me so many things. When people ask me why I want to be a cop, I tell them about you. I'm an explorer now and about to become a cadet until I finish my degree. I'm working really hard to become half of the cop that you were. I hope that I will make you proud. I'm sorry that I never got to tell you what an influence you had on my life...you will always be my hero. We all miss you!! ~ Camille

I work at a different substation from where you were assigned, and never met you. But just like every Dallas officer, and countless others everywhere, we will remember you. Hopefully your bride, your parents, and your friends will be comforted, even just alittle, knowing that. You, of course, are in a better place. But we will continue to pray for those left behind.

I just recently learned of Officer Jackson's death in watching an episode of "DALLAS SWAT" which I watch faithfully. Even though it has been almost 7 years since I last dispatched an officer, I have been on the "other end" hearing an officer(s) calls for help when there are shots fired. I had an officer shot, in the neck, while on the scene of a domestic disturbance, thankfully, he survived. My heart breaks over & over when I hear of another loss of one of our "Guardian Angels". Officer Jackson, you have been lifted up on the wings of angels & you are in the comfort & care of Our Heavenly Father where you can now look after your family, friends & co-workers. God Bless your family & thank you to the Jackson Family for sharing Officer Jackson with us, Our "family" is unique and even though I no longer dispatch, it still hurts terribly when we lose another officer.

Dear mrs.jackson,
Myself and my husband would like to extend our deepest and sincerest condolences on the loss of your husband.
I heard of your husband today on the epidose of DALLAS SWAT and i was so compelled to look him up on this site as i visit a friends site everyday!!!. 2 very short months of marriage god that leaves me speechless.
I recently lost a friend 7 wks ago who was killed by a drunk while riding his motor to yet again another dui task force. He himself was married the same time as you and your sweetie. Mrs.Jackson please know that we here in Arizona are keeping you in our prayers.
Your sweetie is in a good and peaceful place in the best of company up there as i'm sure that hes already met my buddy as im sure that they'll make sure that every one that follows them will know what an eternal peace they'll have.

Where to begin, I am ashamed to say that I have not been able to visit this site out of fear of my emotions and how I would feel after reading the reflections I can honestly say that I am very happy that I have.
Thank you everyone. Words can not begin to describe how I feel. Your kind words, encouragement, thanks and prayers are so amazing. I am so grateful as I am sure Brian's parent and sister are for such kindness.
Thank you all.
