This time last year we were all signing a birthday card for you and leaving it at the wreath by your name on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall, the night of the candle light vigil, on your birthday. Tonight you will be honored there again, on your birthday...It's hard to believe almost another year has gone by, but even harder to believe you're really gone. Not a day goes by that you aren't thought about and missed.

Hi Hon! It's been a while since I write but, not because I don't think about you. Just wanted to let you know that we are back where you wanted us. We are doing OK! Trying to live our lives day by day. Trying to do the right things. Lately there seems to be so many questions falling upon me that I wonder if its a punishment. It's not easy doing everything without you. Especially when our kids seem to have questions I cant and won't answer. I would trade places with you anytime. Just not to deal with alot of the questions. I don't really talk to anybody and letting it out here is my only consulation. You may not be here but I'm sure you are hearing me. Just know that your kids are fine and I am trying to do everything I can so they stay on the right path. Just ask you to help me with them and never let them down. Something you would never do, even though you are gone you continue to be there for us. May you continue to be a peace. Talk to you soon and thank you for everything you did for us. You never know what you have until you loose it.

A Poem from the heart for my daddio

My hero in the heaven's
soaring through the bright blue skies
did more than necessary
gained his wings and now flies

Young in the physical
Advanced wisdom mentality
he was beyond this universe spirtually
achieveing his wings through physical fatality

Falling through a gap of hell
was caught in time and spirtually blessed
now bears the mark of the Archangel
inbedded in his chest the Angel of justices crest

The golden gates of heaven open
he is welcomed by Michael aboard
Now he's ready to put the down the earthly pistol
to draw the heavenly sword.

Baptized to the frontline of the war
with all the heavenly soldiers suited
A fight ready to begin against evil
for the souls of earth the Angels disputed

Awaiting the command from our lord almighty
anxiously waiting for the words,"BEGIN", to be shouted
The battlefield containing fact to face good and evil
no space was lefted for mistakes it was much to crowded

A new edition to the Army
Draws his sword high to the sky
while we're on earth mourning
crying till our body runs dry

Me crying and praying alone in my room
can hear him say," I got this kidd."
I wipe my face and close my eyes
now I can see him through my eyelids.

Son..... Jose A. Diaz Jr

Miss you!!!!!!

Hi Hon! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Just wanted to stop by and tell you how much you are missed. The kids continue to miss you especially during the holidays which you loved. I miss you as well. Looking forward to a better year with the kids. I hope this year we finally can get stable. It's been a very rocky year and 1/2. It just seems so hard to get stable. You always were there when we were like chickens without heads. Give me the strenght needed to get us on the right foot. Especially for the kids. Destiny is doing good in school and always amazes me. Tony is talking about going back to school in florida. So I am trying to go back over there. But I'm getting tired of not being stable. I do what helps them and I hope this is the last move for us. I'm glad my brothers have been the greatest of support especially (BOB & Gina). Alex also has been there, they always attended all the events that are help for you. I thank them for you. Well Joselito keeping you close to my heart and pray for you to be at peace. We will always have a light for you. Until next time CHAO!!!!!!

What's up Jose, just got off of the phone with Rich, he said
he was in the middle of an operation along with the rest of your Unit. He's talking garbage as ususal. Those guys were up here on September 15th. Me and Adolph Gonzalez took
them on a tour of the 44th Precinct, which really didn't impress them. I think they wanted some beer instead !!!
All of those guys spoke very highly of you and really miss
you as much as we do. I was sitting here thinking about the time I wore a purple dress to work and when I came through the door you started calling me "Barney". I immediately went home and changed my clothes and I made sure never to wear purple again. Thanks !!!! A few weeks later I was in search for a name for you, and came up with the name ,"Ricky Martin", Jose tell the truth, you were the man !!! You know it !!! Always walking around the pct
with your sleeves rolled up and your pack of Newport cigarettes in the crease!! We often talk about you in this place and reminisce about the funny stories you used to tell us, often taking a few hours to explain !!! You are being honored left and right for doing such a great job when you were here. Your son is looking just like you !!!
He's very responsible, taking care of Sylvia and Destiny. It is just so unbelieveable. We still cant believe it. Your family gave the 44 a really beautiful plaque. It is on the wall downstairs across from the desk. Well, I'm running out of time, I'll write soon !!!

It's been a whole year now, still can't believe you're gone.
Not a day goes by without you running across my mind, thinking about all of the crazy and good times we had at the 44th Precinct. I am in touch with Sylvia and Jose Jr.
(who looks exactly like you - especially as he gets older)
Your son hangs out with me once in a while, he often comes to the 44th Precinct to visit. The guys and the gals often speak of you, remembering your good sense of humor. Your corny jokes are what I miss the most !!!! Not many people are aware of this page, but you know me, they'll know about it when I log off !!!! You are missed very much - **BUT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN !!!! **

"WOW" Its been a year already" Sorry but, I still can't believe you are not here. We just got back from Fort Lauderdale and it was nice to be back there. It was like you were there with us. I could feel you at the beach. It's weird but I went for a walk with Bob, G and Yesy and I could swear I saw you or imagined you in the water. It was a bit hard on Tony and Des. They went to Hollywood beach just to remember how you loved to be there with both of them. Sunday they had a small service held for you but, there was nothing small about it. Those that could attend were there, Dave, Sabrina, Rich, Randy, The Chaplain, Bruce Roberts, Doug, and so many more that I can't remember by name. The Chaplain said something that stood in our heads " you might of locked up the person that could have killed the person with the cure to cancer. And its so true you put away alot of bad people and you made it safer for alot of us. And we are so greatful for all the hard work and everything you did in your short time at earth. Now you are in a better place, where you can help more people and be able to keep a close eye on all you love. WE JUST MISS YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
We went to the site after the service and left you a big cross and lots of flowers, just because if there was something you loved was your flowers and your believe in GOD. It's been a year and we still can't get use to not seeing you. God knows how hard its been that we are thinking of going back to where you left so many memories of you. I ask you to give me strength in making decisions now that you are not here to decide for us. You left us with a great big family in florida and they always help us keep your memory alive. They have showed us how much they loved you and how much they appreciate everything you did. Til we meet again see you!
