To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 87th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

On this the 83rd anniversary of your death your sacrifice and service are remembered.
Rest in peace as you patrol with St. Michael and all fallen
heroes in heaven. I am glad to read that citizens assisted
in the identification of your killer. It is how things should
be and is a testament to how much your community valued yourself.

Lt. Burris, we share the same profession and last name. Although I doubt if we are related by blood, I consider you my brother. Rest easy and may God continue to watch over you and your family.
