You and your family are in my thoughts and ALWAYS will be. With the recent tragedy in Washington, you crossed my mind as you always do, when ANOTHER one of our heros are taken from us.

Thinking of you today. Four years has gone by since that horrid day. Sometimes it feels so long ago since I last saw your smile and heard your laugh; sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday. Please keep on watching over all of us, especially Kyle. We are doing our best to make you proud. You are and will be forever loved and missed terribly.

I remember that day, the news and all the events that lead to your demise.

I remember mourning your loss even though I hadn't really known you well.

I pray for your son, his road is a rocky one, it doesn't seem fair that a boy who's trials have already been so great, is thrown another obstacle.

I pray for your wife, and her strength.

You are remembered, often and it hardly seems possible that you have been gone for so long.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I hold your family in thought and prayer today. I read that your parents' house burnt down. When I read that, I felt so bad that they had to endure another kind of loss such as that and immediately thought they must have been especially distraught to lose any momentoes of you. Nothing can take away the memories we have of our beloved sons because they are in our hearts and souls and will be until our last breath. You are loved and missed by
so many.

Rest In Peace

B,
I think about you every day. You are always in our hearts as a real hero, but I still selfishly wish you were here. I met Chris Jones family a few weeks ago & they were so very nice. I hated to see them joining the ranks of those of us who have the honor of being family through your deaths. I pray that God gives them the strength they need. Love you always,

Bri,
Please shower Chris Jones with a warm welcome up there and look out for everyone affected by his passing, especially his family and 44pd. Help the guys to keep their chins up and remain proud of who they lost, who they are, and what they stand for. They're all to be admired for such strength during extreme difficulty.

Hey Buddy,

Missing you like crazy again. Wishing I could see your smile and hear your laugh as it is tough right now. Life is moving on but there is a part of it, a part of me, that is still standing still like it has since that fall night. Snow has a way of always making me think of you. I wonder too often about how different things would be if you were still here being my friend. Doing my best to make you proud...

B,
Well another holiday has come & gone without you here, however you're here every day is our hearts. We sure did miss you again. Mom & Dad's house burnt down 2 days before Christmas, but thank God they were out of the house at the time. Ironically they had left that morning to come here, to our neighborhood. Our parents are so amazing the way they just keep going through all the trials life has to offer. Now I know where you got it from. You always accepted things as they came to you and just worked with what you had. I loved that about you. While you're up there please give God a Thank You from me for protecting our parents.
Thanks for all that you have taught me through life so far.
I Love you brother and always will.

Bri,
They're naming a road after you! It won't be paved in gold or lined with angels but it will have your name on it- Officer Gregg Memorial Bypass. Doesn't sound like much, but it's something. I know you'll be watching over during the dedication.

Thinking of you and your family during Thanksgiving and keeping you all in our prayers. Please look over the philly cops and their families and keep those who are working- safe!

I didn't know you Brian, but your incident reminds me of a similar one in the Vancouver, BC area several years ago, also in a hospital room.In that case an offender was brought for examination, and he suddenly seized the officers' revolver. The constable was saved only because it was dept policy to unload all sidearms prior to taking a suspect into such a facility. Lessons can be learned from both these instances, God bless you for your scarifice and all you did that terrible night.
