Not a day goes by that I dont think of you. Theres so many things I wish I had said but it happened so fast. Now I have the rest of my life to think about the 'what ifs'. I miss you. But I'll see you again soon. Very soon.

Jamie,
Just wanted to say that I was thinking of you today. I sure miss you and wanted you to know that with you here I never worried about Brent because you always had his back. No matter what. Thank you for that peace of mind you gave to me and for being the kind of friend you were to us. The best kind. Summers almost over again, and as it goes I feel that sadness knowing that it will soon be a year. It sure doesn't feel like it. I hope you are up there watching us from that 'old blue chair' buddy. Take care and love from me, Brent, Danielle and Jessie.
Love ya.

Hey man,

I come by here a lot, as well as other officer's pages on this site. It makes me remember how fragile our lives are, but it also makes me remember what we fight for every day. I only knew you a short while, but I will remember you forever.

Jamie...just returned from National Police Week and the Memorial Services sponsored by the FOP & NLEOMF. To see your name enscribed upon that wall was heartbreaking but to see all the officers who were there to honor your memory was amazing. Thousands upon thousands of uniformed officers, but the one i longed to see could not be there. I will always miss & love you. Keep smiling in heaven with those gorgeous blue eyes. You keep the streets of heaven safe - we'll take it from here.

Love You Always,

To Corporal James Walker and his loved ones:

Please know that your memory is honored and revered today.

My heart is still with your family and I look forward to meeting them in D.C. You’re all in our thoughts and our prayers.

Jamie, you rescued us, saved our possessions, our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, Corporal James Walker. I am so humbled by your valor and courage.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service Jamie gave to his community and the citizens of Mississippi, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on September 28, 2005.

Jamie, it has been almost 7 months since you left us. I think of your everyday. The girls are growing up so fast. They miss you so much. Em is talking up a storm and Kate is getting more like you everyday. U are still alive as long as she is here. She tells everyone that she gets her long legs from her daddy. It has been a long hard road for us but with you watching over us we know we are gonna be ok. You would be so proud of them. They say a prayer for you every night. I know that u can see and hear them. But how I wish you were here to watch them grow. We love you and miss you more than you will ever know. Save a place for us there. We will be home to see you soon. We love you!!!!!!

Jamie thanks for all the great memories, which were many. Lord knows how much i miss you. People say that time heals all wounds but thats not working for me. You were a person that loved his job and i admired that very much. You gave me a different outlook on being a police officer. Everyone misses you Jamie and things are not the same but you are gone to a better place. I can't say that i will not miss you but i will not forget you. Your watch is over now and we will take it from here. Hold heaven down my brother, I will see you when i get there.

I am a a friend of Mr. Jamies daughters. We have been friends our whole lives. I wanted to tell people Mr. Jamie is a hero, he saved me in the pool at his daughters birthday party. I was scared and could not swim and he held on to me so I would not be scared. I know the girls miss their daddy and I pray for them all the time and hope everyone else will too!

I'm glad to say I knew Jamie! He was a great person who worked hard and took his job seriously. I talked to Jamie about 5 minutes for he was killed. I'm glad that I've got that last memory of him. He was the type person to know him was to love him. He was always joking or kidding around with someone when he wasn't on a call. Memories are all that we have for now. I hope everyone will always remember Jamie for him determination. I know Jamie is in better place now so until we meet again RIP and watch all the rest of the guys in uniform.

We are so sorry to here about your tragic loss of a loved one in law enforcement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in support. As we personally know, sometimes there is little comfort that comes from words. Keep focused as you can on the memories and joyous times for these things may bring you comfort. Rely heavily on family, friends, and other law enforcement. Honor your fallen loved one, for their sacrifice will not be forgotten.
