I can't believe this has happened again. When I read about Officer Drummond, I thought of how much it was just like Clint's accident. I've started to leave a tribute several times but always end up in tears. There are so many things I want to say but the words want come.
Officer Drummond you are such a beautiful lady, oh how I wish this had not happen to you. Just look Clint up for me, oh never mind, if I know him he was waiting on you, along with a lot of other fine Officers. Tell him his mother misses him everyday, and I still love him the most, you'll get a laugh out of him.

To the family, you will miss Tara everyday, but we will never forget her.

To the Kennesaw P.D. hold the family close, you can help each other through this. It's been a year and 8 months for us and everyday is hard, just wish they were here.

I can't imagine the tremendous pain the instructor must feel. I know she would have made an excellent officer on the streets. She died as a committment and promise that she swore to and I am truly out of words to express my sorrow for your loss. I am truly moved by this officer down story.

God bless the friends and family of this fallen officer. This is just another example of how dangerous police work is, wether it is on the job, off the job or at training regimens. Please always remember these brave men and women each and every time you pass an officer in the street. A smile and a hello go a long way.

I stand in mourning for the family of this officer. I was raised in Law Enforcement with my Father being Sheriff and I too, being an officer. To
loose a fellow officer is heart breaking and we will all have the family in our hearts at this time of need. May God Bless you all and Officer Tara Drummond, May you rest in peace.

My fiancé, Dennis McElderry, was the first law enforcement casualty of 2003. Dennis was a Deputy Sheriff with the Davis County Sheriff's Office in SE Iowa. Dennis died doing a job he was passionate about, just as I'm sure Tara died learning a job she was passionate about. It saddens me to know that Dennis was not the first to die in the line of duty, nor will he and Tara be the last to die this way.

Having gone through the pain of losing Dennis I can truly understand and feel the pain that Officer Drummond's family, friends, and co-workers are going through in losing him. My heart goes out to you all. No one can truly understand the pain of our loss until they've walked in our shoes. Please know that my thoughts are with you and that you are not alone in your "journey". Should you ever need anything please do not hesitate to contact me. (The Davis County Sheriff's Office and COPS will also always know how to reach me.)

As a fallen officer "survivor" and a friend, please accept my condolences on behalf of myself and the McElderry family. I never got the opportunity to know Tara but, I am certain she was well respected and well loved. Tara will live on in the hearts of all the lives she touched. You were all blessed to have been able to know and love Tara, even for a short time. I pray that Tara and Dennis will continue to watch over us along with all the other fallen officers all as only they can.

Thank you Officer Drummond for a job well done and for helping to make this world a safer place for us all. Please say "hello" to my fiancé Dennis for me.

Wishing you and all those who loved you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)
