To the family of Trooper Carthron, I am saddened by your loss. I heard of the accident while attending a candle light vigil for another fallen Arkansas officer, Mike Waters. I knew Mark only for a very short time, when I was also a West Memphis Police Officer. I remember that he always had a smile, no matter how he was actually feeling. I regret that I did not get to know Mark any better than passing friends. I can not imagine what you are, and will, go through. I can only say that he, and your family, are in our prayers. God bless.
