I wish each community member had a chance to speak and get to know their police force as human beings. They would have a much greater respect and admiration for them. They risk their lives much like a soldier does. I give my upmost condolences to the family and friends of this fallen hero.

As I sit here once again to leave a reflection for such a young officer, I am in tears. I heard about this accident from a couple of fellow survivors and had to read more about this young man. Unfortunately, I know all too well what the road ahead will likely hold for the officer's friends, family, and fiancee. It is extremely unfair, and it will be nothing less than a daily uphill battle. I wish it was not so, but there are no words that I can possibly write to take away or even lessen the pain, heartbreak, confusion, and desperation felt by all who meant something to this officer. He was much too young to go, but I've learned that most times, these are the ones who God calls home first. Officer Fisher's story is so similar to my own fiance's. Just a few years older, but the similarities are stunning. I will definitely be praying for his parents, family members, coworkers, friends, and especially his fiancee. I know the feelings and thoughts all too well. Please know that if there is anything at all I can do, do not hesitate to contact me at any point.

Thank you, Officer Fisher, for a job well done. Please tell Cole hello and I will see him when my work here is done.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,
