Thank you for your service and rest in peace knowing that your memory and sacrifice will always be remembered by your law enforcement brethren.

On July 7th, 2016 five of my brothers were murdered here in Dallas, Texas. While attending the funeral for DART Police Officer Brent Thompson, I was greeted by two deputies from Cook County that saw my last name and remembered your name from the Line of Duty Death Memorial a few weeks prior. It was an honor to know that 82 years later, your name is still remembered by those who currently watch the Thin Blue Line. I carry your badge with honor sir. We have the watch!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace

I have often wondered about you, your life, your humor, and what you would have taught me as my grand-father. What would be different in my world had you been in my life? That IS the road untravelled. You are remembered and you are loved.

Your grand-daughter,
