I saw a red pickup today with a window sticker that said "In Memory of Deputy Andy Taylor", so I found this website when I got home. Amber and Hunter used to be neighbors of mine. Even though I never knew you personally Andy, from what I have heard and read, you were a really wonderful man, a rare find in today's world, and you were the love of Amber's life. Even though I didn't know Amber well, I really liked her and her family from the first time I met them. I am glad that you were able to have been a blessing to each other's lives for at least a little while, although it was way too short I know. I am truly heartsick for this tremendous loss.

Andy,
Although I didn't really get to know you well, I do remember what a nice young man you were. You were so nice and sweet the few times that I did see you. I don't even have the words to explain how I feel. I'm just shocked really. I was looking at some old pictures a few months ago and came across the ones that you and your brother were in and I was wondering how everybody was doing. I just can't believe that this has happened to such a wonderful and devoted person. May God bless you and your family. You'll never be forgotten...

Our reunion is comming up and a couple of us decided that reunions are not just about those that graduated with us but those who were close to us, regardless of age or class. Even though you did not graduate with us you will always be one of us( as you should know ). We shared many memories that will never be forgotten. You were a dear close friend and responsibility seperated us, but you and your family still remain in my heart and memories. My heart goes out to your family. Hope all is well. Keep an eye on your little brother Taylor.

Love Always Your Friend,
John

Deputy Taylor,
I just transferred here from an agency in Southeast Texas after 11 yrs of service there. My first day in Burnet County was an eventful one, partially because everyone here was talking to me about you. On my first solo night here, I was assigned to work the southern end of the county, which partially covers Kingsland. Just being in the area, I shared a somber moment. Even though you and I never met, I shared peace with you for your sacrifice. I want to thank you for all that you have done during your time of service. And for all the times that you done something that you thought no one appreciated it, I THANK YOU for what you did. You had an impact on somebody's life. Thank you brother!!! May God continue to bless your family!!

The Police Unity Tour 2006 is over, but thanks to the hard work of so many people Deputy Andrew Taylor's memory will live on forever. Andy's name is etched at the memorial on panel E-51. The memorial was filled with families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty and it was also filled with countless people who appreciate and respect all that police do to protect them and make this a great country. It was an honor to ride for Andy and his family. I will always keep andy and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

It will be one year since your tour of duty ended. So many broken hearts left behind, all because of a person that had no respect for human life, not even his own. There are no magic words I can say to help your loved ones with their grief except that you are a true hero and will never be forgotten. Keep watch over all of them and protect them from harm.

I went to the Police Academy with Andy. I am still currently working as an Officer in the same area. Andy was a friend that would go to the end of the world for you. It is still hard to believe that he is gone from this earth, but I know if anyone had a place with God it was Andy. I think about him every time my tour of duty begins because he always told me once we became officers we were brothers. I miss him a great deal and know he was watching over every officer. Mark, I appreciate you riding for Andy and all that you guys do for fallen officers. Andy, I will see you on the other side.

This year I am riding in the police unity tour in memory and honor of Deputy Andy Taylor. The unity tour is a group of law enforcement officers who ride bikes from NJ to Washington DC during police week to honor law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. My ride this year will be especially significant being that I will be riding on the anniverasry of Deputy Taylors last tour of duty. I have had a chance to read the reflections on this page and I am humbled to be riding for a man that has meant so much to so many people. It will be an honor to ride in Andy's memory and be there to see his name added to the wall where he will be forever remembered. Although I have never met Andy or his family, we are one big police family and I will keep Andy and his family in my thoughts and prayers forever.

My name is Mark Deuer and I am a Sergeant with the North Caldwell Police Dept. in New Jersey. This year I am riding in the police unity tour in memory of Deputy Andy Taylor. I chose to ride for Andy from the list of fallen officers from 2005. The police unity tour will depart NJ on May 8th and travel over 300 miles to Washington DC where we will end at the Police Officers Memorial and I will be there in honor and memory of Andy. My thoughts and prayers will be with Andy and his family. I feel riding on the anniversary of Andy's last tour is the least I can do to keep Andy in our thoughts. Its the memories we have that keep us strong, and although I have never met Andy or his family persoanlly we are all one big police family and I will keep Andy in my thoughts forever.

To Deputy Sheriff Andrew Harrison Taylor, his loved ones and his fellow officers:

I wanted to post a remembrance for you as your first anniversary date is fast approaching. Please know that your memory is revered and honored today.

May your family continue be to comforted by the warm embrace of their law enforcement family, and other police survivors who share this painful journey with them. My heart is with your family and I hope to meet them in D.C.

Reading all the loving reflections left by those who cared for you gives us an understanding of what a good and honorable man you were and of the high esteem with which you are held.

Andy, you rescued us, saved our possessions, our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, Deputy Taylor. I am so humbled by your valor and courage.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service Deputy Taylor gave to his community and the citizens of Texas, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on May 9, 2005.

Dear Andy,

Hey Buddy. I miss you and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you. I always remember the times that we shared when I worked in the jail and did ride outs with you. I am so glad you convinced me to become a peace officer. I want you to know that I miss you and can not believe you have almost been gone for almost a year now. I know you are watching over Amber, Hunter and all of you other family, friends and fellow officers. One day I will meet up with you again and I can't wait till that day. I love you man and god bless you!!!
