Officer Scott, I along with your community greatly appreciate your service. You paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting the people you served and I am sure you made them proud. To date, we have lost 30 officers/deputies throughout the country. Although to some, 30 is just a number, to my academy class mates and myself, those are 30 more reasons to keep pushing forward and continue the work you left behind.

As time progresses through my time in the academy, I start to relate to every officer/deputy who has lost their life doing something they loved. They were never forced to put their lives on the line for their communities, but they did so anyway because they knew it took a special type of person to wear the uniform, and for that, we thank you Officer Scott.

I can remember when Scott work as a pool boy at the Parks for Los Angeles City. He was talking about becoming a cop and when he finally did he was one of the best the Airport ever had. My father work Los Angeles Airport Police for thirty two years so I been around those guys for a long time. I have been a cop for 11 years now and I can say that Scott was a motivation in my career. Tommy thanks for all you did and brother we miss you.
